Yesterday was such a busy day!! We had a great visit with RVer friends, Don and Kim! They are here on the Island to celebrate the birth of their first Grandchild, Tucker, who was born on September 9th in Victoria. And of course they shared pictures of their beautiful blue bundle of joy…so cute! Being Grandparents seems to agree with them!
We had a nice brunch…lots of discussion and planning for this years ‘Down South’…they will be staying at The Sands until the end of January so Kim is VERY excited about going with the Club House Quilters to the Road to California!
Then it was off to the Cowichan Exhibition for me! I had signed up to work the 1-5 shift at the Fair…white gloving it!
And of course while there I was bumping into friends left, right and centre…like Liz and Marika, an exchange student from Japan. Liz is Toby’s Mom..Toby is my daughter Maggie’s boyfriend. Liz loves country fairs and came all the way from Nanaimo to attend this one!
Liz was very impress with our new Exhibition Hall and Fair Grounds.
Let me show you a few of the quilts…
Pretty impressive, isn’t it!! More to come tomorrow…Stay tuned!!
Have a Marvelous Monday and Happy Quilting!~P
