Recycling at it’s finest!

Before I begin my posting A HUGE THANK YOU  to Bloomin’ Workshop for giving a tutorial on how make this quilt!!

On my travels yesterday I ‘found’ two more cotton shirts to add to my ‘shirt stash’!  Do you remember these old shirts that I ‘found’ last week?P1020681

Well I added the two shirts to this pile, cut them up and sewed them together and here is the final result ….not bad for recycled shirts!

I think the green and blue shirts that I found yesterday  add a nice punch of colour to the topper….Now all it needs is a borders or two…So what do you think?  Takes recycling to a whole different level, doesn’t it!  It’s a good thing!

Another Good Thing – Karen (Tool Time Tuesday’s Karen) from Sew Many Ways is having another give-away!  This girl continues to be incredible….now she is giving away over 100 ‘I Spy’ fabric squares!  I have always wanted to make an I Spy quilt but I just don’t have the fabric….you need tons of little squares with busy children’s prints on them.  Hey, (light bulb moment!) someone should put out a charm pack for this very reason….or did someone already do this?  I’m always the last to know….anyways, hurry on over to Karen’s and have a look at her ‘I Spy’ collection….remember you are just ‘looking’…don’t touch!  :o)

Have a Super Sunday and Happy Quilting!

  7. Love your shirt quilt! Just last night a friend asked me to show her how to make a quilt from her deceased husband's shirts. I will have to show her this quilt. It looks great.
