What’s On My Frame This Friday?

Well…it’s another charity quilt made by Heritage Betty!  And it’s a beauty for sure!  It reminds me of the Ocean Waves quilt which is on my Bucket List…

Loops and Stars are what I decided to quilt thanks to a couple of celestial blocks…and loops and stars are perfect for a baby quilt..besides they are fun to do!

A couple of weeks ago, Jane, another quilter at Heritage, was telling me about a thread that she used with great success on her mid-arm…SEW this week she brought me a cone of Glide Thread to try out on my mid arm…it’s is a third the cost of So Fine Thread by Superior.  Well it performed beautifully…not one breakage…and not one ‘issue’ with the machine!  Quilting is so much fun when everything goes smoothly!

I will DEFINITELY be ordering some Glide Thread…  At $6.20 for a 5,000m cone it is a real deal!

Thanks sew much Jane for sharing all your quilting knowledge…and your thread!!  If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times…

  4. Did I not tell you about Glide thread??? From Fil-Tec?? That's a crime on my part--it's become my favorite thread and as you said, it is less expensive than Superior. They also make matching pre-wound bobbins for the Glide thread but they are magnetized, not sure how well that would work in a mid-arm but they work so well in my longarm, I never have to tweak the tension.
