Yesterday at Heritage, Glynis whipped out these blocks to work on!! I swear my eyes popped out of my head!! They are the sweetest blocks EVER!
I mean, what’s not to love? Dresden blocks, wool petals sewn onto the softest flannel background fabric…GORGEOUS!! Oh…and did I mention how small the blocks are…the petals are only about 2” each!
Look at those perfect stitches done in black perle cotton…SWEET!
The pattern for this block came from this book…COZY QUILTS by Tara Lynn Darr!
Here’s the finished quilt…adorable! The petals for this block are the size of my baby finger…the perfect size for all those little itty bitty scraps of wool left over from other projects that you would normally toss! YIKES!! NEVER toss again!
And LOOK at Petals On Parade…makes my heart sing!! Bring on those scraps!
Here’s a better LOOK…
There are ALL kinds of sweet and simple, small quilts to be made from this book…using ONLY scraps of wool!
Hey, we all know the price of wool…(A LOT)…so let’s get the most bang out of our buck… use up EVERY LITTLE BITTY SCRAP and walk away with these wonderful sweet projects! This book will help us do just that!!
You can buy the book HERE! Check it out!!
OK…that’s my Tip for Tuesday…hope you liked it!!
Have a good one and thanks for popping by!~P
Those quilts are so sweet! Thanks for the heads up about this great book. Wool is so expensive, it kills me to toss a scrap of any size.
ReplyDeleteTara does wonderful patterns, she was really into rug hooking, years ago and on our group and have enjoyed seeing her newest patterns in quilting.
