Christmas Quilt-A-Long…Part 4…the Quilt-A-Long

What a busy day…so far I have almost conquered Mr. Linky……(there are TWO of him!),  done a craft and made Nanaimo Bars…now I need to QUILT!!  It is after all our Christmas Quilt-A-Long!

What to work on??   You know how I have been busy moving sewing rooms…well guess what I found in a bag at the bottom of the closet in my old sewing room!!  This Christmas Quilt that I started about 5 or 6 years ago.  Yup…it’s been in the back of the closet all this time…and I had forgotten all about it…TILL NOW!!  I think it’s time to finish this baby off!!

So I prepped the backing…washed, ironed and pieced it…

Put the batting in the dryer to get out the wrinkles while I ironed the top.  All of this takes time…sheesh!!

Sandwiched it all together on the floor of my new sewing room!

And when I find the safety pins I will pin it all together…BUT WHERE did I put my container of pins!! Are they in this cupboard…?  In this drawer?

I’ll keep you posted if and when I find the pins!  Got to keep going…we are on a roll…Hope you are doing better than me?!

  1. I think you are doing pretty darned good there yourself! LOL What a great find in the back of a closet. I think there would just be old shoes and dust bunnies in my closet.

  3. At my house the pins would be under the bed where Ms Cat hides stolen items. I'm not sure at your house. Molly and Rylie do not look like Cat Thieves.

  4. I love that quilt, especially the plaid star and the holly in the border. What a nice surprize to find it.

  5. What a wonderful quilt! I love stars of any kind and when they're on a white background they're especially appealing. The narrow red and white border really sets off the stars and the holly leaves are perfect! blessings, marlene
