Well my baby is officially a LAWYER! What an emotional day it was! Just writing on Maggie’s Graduation card had me blubbering like a baby! When hubby gave me ‘that look’…I stated that they were happy tears! Sheesh…men! They just don’t see things the way WE do!
Anyways, the ‘Called to the Bar Ceremony’ was lovely…just perfect, with two or three heartfelt speeches..enough to bring a few more tears…and then all 73 candidates were sworn in…and everyone said “I DO!” and then they proceeded to sign their degrees…the ones that will later get framed and hang in their offices!
Yes, it was a VERY PROUD day to be a mama!! It’s so wonderful to see your children reach for the stars and nab one along the way!! Well done, Maggie! Enjoy your success and all the accolades that go with it!! You so deserve it!!
AND…I hope the road that you take is always lined with cherry blossoms!
Now where’s my kleenex…!
Have a Super Saturday and Happy Quilting!~P
Congratulations to your daughter! What a wonderful time for your family!!
ReplyDeleteHey wait! I thought this was a quilting blog? What the heck?

ReplyDeleteBig congratulations to your daughter and yourselves! What an accomplishment. We can smell those blossoms....
ReplyDeleteIt will be wonderful to have your own lawyer in the family, if the need ever arises. Say, for instance, the Fabric Sniffing Dogs at the border cause you to be detained someday...Maggie could bail you out, and plead your case!!! Congratulations, a wonderful day and great weather...perfect.
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to you too, Mom, for raising such an outstanding daughter. She's beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how proud you must feel.
Congratulations to the whole family because it takes a village! Much success to Maggie!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful and how proud you must be. Both of my kids decided to go into business, and are going part time while working, so not sure when they will finish.

Congratulations to all. A wonderful achievement.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joyful day this was! The cherry blossoms are beautiful but they don't compare to your gorgeous daughter. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteWhat a huge accomplishment for her. Congratulations to her and I wish her much luck in her future. And to you Momma ~ I totally understand. I was a blubbering fool like that when two of my own son's graduated from college/university. I'm afraid my blubbering days are still ahead too as one of mine has also continued on in school and is, like your daughter, attending law school. He wanted to follow in my own Father's footsteps although my father was a lawyer for years but then retired as a judge. I'm not sure my son has that position in his future but one never knows.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you also Momma. That is a hard road for you to follow as well since I'm sure you shared in your daughter's ups and downs throughout the road to this graduation.
Congratulations to Maggie - that is a wonderful achievement and also to you and Mr. Sweet Pea - it's a proud moment for you as well.
ReplyDeleteHugs - Karen
