SCORE!! Times TWO!!

Look at what Sharon, our newest Clubhouse Quilter, SCORED at a Garage Sale in the Palm Springs’ area this weekend!!  Yup, it’s a gorgeous old/antique? hexagon quilt…completely hand stitched and hand quilted!!  It’s a beauty…

The workmanship is wonderful…and it’s in excellent shape!

Let’s zoom in for a close-up…love the soft fabric…Lucky Sharon!!  Oh…and did I mention that it was only $80!!  Score!

BUT wait…what’s THIS?!  ANOTHER quilt!!  I love this one too!!

Here’s Sharon proudly displaying her lovely old quilt…the colours are so rich and vibrant!  This quilt is in perfect shape too…with just a couple of small stains that Sharon is going to try to soak out.

Let’s zoom in for a close-up…just take a gander at this wonderful hand quilting…feathers and cross-hatching!  Man, this quilter knew what she was doing…gorgeous!

Yup…I’d call this a double SCORE for sure…and Sharon paid only $80 for this one too!

Today is the first day for the annual ‘Spring Fling Quilt Shop Hop’…so of course we have enough quilters to fill a car AND ‘the VAN’!

 

We are heading down the I-10 looking for quilty deals…first stop, Carona’s ‘Stars and Scraps’!  Love this shop!  We have a total of EIGHT shops to ‘visit’…Oh and I saved the best NEWS for last…the Canadian dollar is at $1.01…YAHOO!!  Bring it on…!!
