Once the fog and mist dissipated, it turned into a gorgeous Autumn day…perfect for travelling! The only OTHER thing to make it even more perfect would have been a Quilt Shop spotting…but alas…it was not meant to be!
I did do a little Autumn stitching though..Block One of the Heart to Hand Autumn quilt is done…although it needs a good pressing…
And I got a good section of Block Two done…the camera flash has washed out the colours..it is way more vibrant than this but you get the idea.
Here they are side by side…
Well I have my packing up jobs to do before we can roll on out of here…We spent the night in Canyonville at the Seven Feather’s RV Resort…
Can you see us? We are the grey unit right in the middle.
We are off to Corning, California today…and will hopefully get the mountain pass over with (I just stitch a little faster!!)
Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P
I went to a barn dance in Corning in 1971 when I was going to Chico State!!! Is the barn still there?? Happy and safe travels to you.
ReplyDeleteSafe traveling, I usually travel in a car enjoying the photos.
ReplyDeleteHand stitching wool is great for travel. I did a penny rug that way, had it all cut out and just had to bring black floss, scissors and some needles and I was all set.

Happy Trails......Should be a beautiful day to get through the mountains.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching and very pretty colours! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteLooks like another prize-winning quilt to me. Safe trip through the mountains. Will there be snow? Another somewhat sunny day here, but very cold. Lots of frost that looks like snow. I'm so not ready for snow.
ReplyDeleteNice to see that your travels are going well and that you continue to work on those beautiful projects! The wool applique blocks are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. Maybe I won't be in a couple of months! And I don't know if I could do Christmas anywhere but home. Overall I am jealous of the adventure . . . . Wishing you a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog. Your blocks are just beautiful. Iam new to working with wool and I'm doing this quilt also. I've done quite a few penny rugs and I hope I can handle a project of this size!! I've got 2 blocks prepped and ready to sew....I will anxiously be waiting to see yours.
ReplyDeleteHappy trails to you......I love your wool project.....my girlfriend travels in a motorhome and stitches real fast when they go over bridges that are real narrow. Or if it gets too nervracking she closes her eyes. Looking forward to tomorrow's adventure.
ReplyDeletePaulette: Check out the many quilt shops in Northern California:
