Quilt’n Thyme…

We were on a mission to find a Safeway in Corning when, much to Mr. Sweet P’s dismay, look what I spotted..EUREKA!!  Quilt’n Thyme!! Yippee…finally a QS sighting!P1150997

When I asked the two gents who were working in the shop if I could take pictures they both said SURE and then started to run for cover~ you can see them scurrying at the left…P1150998

And the lady who was shopping dropped behind this bank of fabric bolts!   I couldn’t have got a better reaction had I brought our a semi automatic!!  So shoot I did…with my camera!

Someone has a pig fetish…there was this display plus another one further along the window!  I’ve always said you can never have enough pigs!

SEW what did I buy?  I finally found a copy of Sew Scrappy!!

Let me show you my favourite project…a Lynda Hall original!!  Of course it’s wool!!  You can see a better picture of this gorgeous wool and cotton Autumn wall hanging over at Lynda’s blog…Primitive Pieces by Lynda.

There are also lots of sweet quilt patterns and a Churn Dash that is calling my name!

Here’s a bit of trivia for you….

…have you EVER wonder how garlic is delivered to market…why in garlic trucks of course!  We passed FOUR of these!!  Now that’s a LOT of garlic!  And the smell was wonderful!

I have been craving garlic bread, crab with garlic butter and Caesar salad with garlic…ever since!

Thanks for all your lovely comments…I appreciate and enjoy hearing from you but haven’t been able to get back to you!!  Our Wi-Fi isn’t that great…and is verrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy slllloooooowwwww…and painful!!It will be better once we get to The Sands! Open-mouthed smile

Have a wonderful Wednesday and Happy Quilting!~P

  7. Now that is a lot of garlic and happy to see you made it to your first quilt shop unharmed. I picked up the Sew Scrappy magazine last week at our local Save on Foods, it isn't a cheap purchase but well worth it.

  8. I have stopped in Corning many times on our road trips but I didn't know they had a quilt shop. It wouldn't matter anyway, my husband forgets where the brake pedal is when we're on a road trip and I see a shop. LOL You're almost here, the weather has been nice. Winds today but still nice.

  11. That magazine looks like a good one to get, will have to hit the craft store soon. When we are in hotels, they always shut off the wi fi at night and that is when I like browsing and doing mail, so i have to just download things and then send out things in the morning. They really need to get better wi fi in campgrounds, everyone uses it now.

  14. Thanks to you, I have now seen a garlic truck! Never even thought of such a thing. Glad you found a quilt shop and I love the pic. of the men running away from the camera. Can't wait to see your next post!

  15. Congrats on spotting the quilt shop. And all that garlic. Here in Windsor ON, most of the garlic in the grocery stores is a product of China which I won't buy. What's wrong with garlic grown in Canada or the US? I don't get it. Obviously it can grow here.

  20. let the quilt shopping begin!!..better break out the credit card..
now as for the garlic trucks?..Doug's brother use to grow garlic in Keremeos..and we would spend days on end cleaning each and every clove!..nothing like fresh garlic with the juices running onto the cutting board!!
