NOW WHERE WERE WE? Back to the Cloth Castle Club Day~
Love the rounded shapes in this quilt and the colours~
This gorgeous crocheted bedspread has become a family heirloom made by an aunt who passed away and left it to her niece. You can tell that her niece is just thrilled to be the owner and will cherish it forever. I love it when people appreciate a handmade work of art.
This picture doesn’t do this quilt justice…it is just lovely! It is being donated to a mission for a raffle.
My quilting buddy, Dawn made me an this beautiful apron and here is Natasha sharing it. It is gorgeous..with little pleats on the side. Thanks again, Dawn!! Love it!!
This little quilt was made from a birthday card! It is just stunning!! Love the lattice work behind the poppies…and the poppies…lovely!
Have a closer look…see the purple beads in the centre..aren’t they perfect?
Natasha is making this Log Cabin for a challenge that Cloth Castle is having. I can’t wait to see it quilted and finished. Love it!
Someone made this gorgeous sewing wallet…(I think it is a Lynette Anderson pattern)……
Isn’t it pretty?
A lovely piece of work to keep your tools…. Natasha gave a quick demo on how to make…. ..these bags.
This quilt was hanging on the wall behind the display table…doesn’t it shout out Spring and Summer…!! I am such a sucker for daisies!! And finally Natasha shared these wool punched cushions…This strawberry was made from 1/4 inch strips of wool.
The bird’s nest mat, the Christmas tree and the flowers were made from wool yarn punched into Monk’s cloth.
I LOVE this one…but I do NOT need another hobby…right now..!
It was SO good to be back at Club, to visit with old friends and talk quilty talk. And of course Dawn and Claire and I went for lunch to continue on with the talk. It wasn’t the same though, as our friend, Alice was missing. Alice has become the Stage Manager for a local Theatre group and it WAS rehearsal time…the show must go on and all that jazz!! So Alice…break a leg and hurry back for next month’s Club!
To all the Mothers out there, have a good one…hopefully spent with the ones you love most!!
Have a super Saturday and Happy Quilting!!
A lot of beautiful quilts and rugs.
