Cloth Castle Club Day was almost perfect!! Dawn was back from EIGHT months of gallivanting the countryside/seaside and Claire, now retired, was able to join us…YEAH!!…We just needed Alice to round out our merry group…We MISS you Alice!
Because Dawn has been away for so long…her Show and Tell was like a One Woman Show…and what a show it was! Let me show you what I mean…
OK…all together now…. “AHHhhhhhhh…!” SEW dang cute…would you believe she made 12 of these little guys! Adorable!! This unique scrappy Churn Dash was lovely…the pattern is found on the cover of Kim Diehl’s new book called ‘Simple Graces’.
A gorgeous massive log cabin…with lovely oak leaves quilted onto the top!! Loved it!
A sweet wall hanging…
A Whimsical Wall Hanging made from a panel…all stitched up and bound for places unknown…
Placemats…
And a family set of Christmas Stockings make from Whimsical fabric leftovers…(sorry about the terrible picture!!)
Complete with beautiful done cross-stitched name tags…
A bright and fun tote…love those hexies!!
A lovely chubby bag…made out of charm squares…
And these sweet little wool felt ornaments, which I have already shared with you!! Amazing hey!!
This is what EIGHT MONTHS of stitching looks like in one sharing!!
So on with the show! This is a little blurry…I wasn’t sitting in the best picture taking seat…but you get the idea!!
A lovely table topper…
I think I have the pattern for this one…a log cabin runner made from wonderful Christmas fabric.
Very pretty….
And then we have Claire’s spinning wool pinwheels…LOVE this wee mat!!
And her stunning Autumn Wool Banner…wouldn’t it be wonderful to whip out a different wool banner for each season?!! Someday…!!
Love this ‘Dress Me Up Frosty’ mat by Nutmeg Hare…but look at those weeeee pieces!! Smaller than a thumb nail!! Yikes!
THIS Santa in the woods is on my Bucket List too…I have GOT to make this one!! Yup…Claire does fine work!! A master wool-smith!
I also like this gorgeous quilt!! I REALLY wanted a closer look at this one…but alas…it didn’t make it to our little corner.
The next two were fast but sweet project which will be gifts for friends.
I Loved this one…wouldn’t it look lovely draped over a couch on Christmas morning…more importantly MY couch on Christmas morning!! Sew gorgeous!
And of course we had pillow cases being made…lots and lots of pillow cases..and who wouldn’t LOVE to receive some of these?! Sweet dreams…of walks in the woods…
And baby quilts…yes, Natasha is a woman of many talents…juggling being one of them!!
A Jelly-Roll Strip quilt topper…
Doreen’s sweet snowman wall hanging…LOVE IT!! Sorry about the terrible picture!
A massive scrappy pineapple log cabin quilt…
Another jelly Roll Strip with a little tweak… Loved these sweet WOOL ornaments…
Zooming in for a close-up…Yup dang cute!!
Followed by a low fat lunch!!! Yummy! This lunch was served at a Workshop Luncheon on the weekend…they are REALLY pincushions!!
Darn…and I was all set to chow down!!
Hope you enjoyed Club as much as we did!!
Have a Super Saturday and Happy Quilting!~P
