Thrift Shop Thursday…

If you are looking for a quick and easy way to hang and display those small quilts then this might be right up your alley!!  Look what I found at a Thrift Shop yesterday…

P1140191

In five seconds you are ready to hang the quilt!!

P1140187

The hard part is finding a nail to hang it from…

P1140188

You know how hard it is to hang something from rock or brick…not with this hanger!

P1140189

Now if I was Karen from Sew Many Ways these would be all painted  to match the quilts!!  On this blog, you get to use your imagination!

Oh…and picture a pretty wool mat hanging from one!!  Maybe a seasonal one…that way it would be quick and easy to change out with each new season….  Great idea, hey?

Oh…and did I tell you the BEST part…I paid 25 CENTS for each hanger!!  You can’t even buy a gumball for 25 CENTS!!  SCORE!!

Have a Thrift Store Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P

  3. Great score, Paulette. I actually have a few of those hangers around somewhere. I guess I'll spend the day digging them out. Of course, it might be easier to just go to the thrift store.

  6. I love those kind of hangers! They are perfect for so many things. To funny about they'd be painted, but not this blog. Great to be true to yourself. Besides the wood look goes with anything. ;-)

  7. Yes, these are great! I have a bunch from when my Mom used to hang Dad's dress pants from them. Now I use them to hang freshly laundered cuts of fabric. They are great for fresh out of the dryer pieces so they don't wrinkle before I can get to them! I love the idea of painting them to match quilts though!

  15. I have used that type of hanger to hang quilts when I want to take a photo sometimes, but mine are plastic. I would never have thought of using wooden for real display purposes. How very clever of you.

  16. Too sweet! Big competition there for Sew Many Ways! I do think it's a great idea and even if one had a large quilt to display two could be used quite successfully.
