Tah dah…!!!

I know, I know…you’ve seen Settler’s Pride a million times but that’s OK…because you haven’t seen her FINISHED!!

Here she is hanging around the backyard enjoying some late evening rays…YES, the sun is shining!

These last pictures proved to be a challenge because it was a breezy evening!  It’s a heavy quilt and it kept flapping around in the breeze…the quilt started to droop as my hubby arms were getting sore from holding it up so long!  This was the best we are going to get under the circumstances…

DONE!!  And I absolutely love it!!  I am going to hang it on the wall in the Family Room.  I just need to get the perfect rod for it.P1140037

And the binding fabric turned out OK…you don’t really notice it…just the way I like it.  P1140038

I went back in my blog ~I started sewing the first Settler’s Pride block back in March so I am pleased and surprised at how fast this quilt came together!!

So now it’s onto something new!!  OK so I already cheated and started a tumbler quilt…stay tuned!

Have a Super Saturday and Happy Quilting!~P

  14. That quilt is stunning, and I think the binding is perfect! I am curious about how you quilted it as I am in the process of making a woolen quilt. (and yes, they are Heavy!) Did you use any batting? How heavily did you have to quilt it?

Thanks for your blog - it sure is inspiring!
