On Wednesday I received the last round of our Wool Crazy Pin Cushion Round Robin~ Lori’s little mat! As you can see her theme is A Patriotic Summer. To start us off, Lori (Humble Quilts) stitched the flag, then Kaaren (Painted Quilt) stitched the wonderful watermelon and crow and finally Karen (Log Cabin Quilter) stitched the sweet little Lamb…YIKES!…Now it’s my turn!!
Don’t you think that Lori’s flag is screaming for a house to go under it? So that’s what I stitched…
I can’t mail this back to Lori until Tuesday as it’s our Thanksgiving long weekend…so I may add a few more stitches…that’s what happens when you work on Wool Crazy mats…here a stitch…there a stitch…and that blue right top corner is calling out for a little something..
This was such a fun Round Robin and all four mats are now complete!
Here’s Kaaren’s all finished depicting a Fall theme. Adorable!!
This is Karen’s …she chose to do a Fall Theme too…look at how different each of the Fall mats turned out!! Both are very sweet!
And here is mine…my theme was The Four Seasons…I just love it! All of these little wool mats look incredible!! This was such a lovely experience! We all got right to work upon receiving each other’s mats adding our own creations to each project. Not only do I come away with a gorgeous wool crazy pin cushion base that is unique and very special… BUT… I have gained three incredible friendships!! Thanks so much ladies- it always nice to ‘hang’ with other Wool Crazies!!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jocelyn!
Congrats to Happy Cottage Quilter.
ReplyDeleteThe pincushions are gorgeous, but are you really going to be able to stick pins in them? I don't think I could.
I just love seeing the pincushions you all have been working on and sharing with each other.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!@ I'm so excited! I love the house Paulette!! And feel free to add as many stitches as you would like:)
ReplyDeleteMonday is a holiday here so no mail will be moving either. Thank you so much!
Those pincushions are wonderful, so much thought into their creation. Congrats on the new part time home! I look forward to seeing if a new quilt is in the works for the new bed. I have the top done for our new 5'er and just need it put together and quilted.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jocelyn - woohoo!!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet, cute, adorable, fabulous, pin cushions. You talented ladies did awesome work on all four wooly pin cushions.
I have serious pin cushion envy. LOL
Those pincushions are so cute!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jocelyn!! That's awesome! Your pincushions all turned out wonderfully, such a fun thing to do - but do you dare stick pins in them, lol!
ReplyDeleteHere a stitch, there a stitch sounds like a song.
ReplyDeleteThe addition of the house, tree, & fence is just perfect for Lori's wool crazy piece. Very creative.
I love how the wool pieces came out.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Happy Cottage.
Debbie
Congrats to Jocelyn!
ReplyDeleteThe house is just the perfect addition, Paulette. Great idea.
So now they're all done and Lori's will be returned to her on Tuesday. I guess that's an "almost" wrap then, huh? Woo hoo!
Oh wow Thanks Paulette! I am SO thrilled, as I have never seen this magazine before, but have heard about it from several different blogs. And Yay for the fabric. Sending you an email :-) Have a Happy Thanksgiving weekend.
ReplyDeleteCute, love the little flowers!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jocelyn!
ReplyDeleteJust fab Paulette, love them all,
Julia ♥
Gorgeous pincushions, I love the way you each added your own ideas instead of having a predetermined design!
ReplyDeleteThat house is PERFECT under that flag!
ReplyDeletethe pin cushions all came out fabulous, each unique and gorgeous it its own right.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winner.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely woolly ones i like them well done
Hugs Janice
I'm always amazed at how much detail you add to those wool crazy pincushions. Now if it were me thinking I'd add a house, it would probably have been a typical house a five year old would draw. But no, not Paulette!! You add a two story house with a chimney with flowers growing up it...LOL! Not to mention the fence, tree, flowers.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous. Well done on all of them
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs Gina xxx
