Yesterday was our Christmas Sew-A-Long hosted by Quilt Sue. She always makes our sew-a-longs fun- she has games, puzzles and food…but who has time for that!! Got to get her done!! Im’s sad to say…I am still plugging away on this little wall hanging…will it EVER end?
It’s my first attempt at flying geese. They are easy to make but man do they ever take a long time!!
Then there is the embroidery that goes…all…around…the…quilt…I have five more words to stitch but I had to stop…didn’t want to stain the quilt when my head exploded! So that’s where I’m at. Next comes the snowman faces…now that’s going to be fun!
I am hoping that I can finish this quilt off before our next Christmas Sew-A-Long…because I REALLY want to start a new Christmas project!
We are off to my brother and sister-in-law’s for a Thanksgiving Dinner. Nothing I love better than a turkey dinner with all the trimmings…except for maybe one that I haven’t had to cook!!
Have a super Sunday and Happy Quilting!~P
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Paulette. Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeletePaulette,
ReplyDeleteI mentioned before that I have this pattern, because I have this thing for Snowmen, I had to have it! I've put mine together, like you I'm somewhat of a newbie on flying geese. Mine are not perfect, but okay I guess. I need to hurry and catch you, I will start my words this week.
your quilt and embroidered borders are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI do understand when you said did not want your quilt stained when your head'd explode! It happens to me on a regular basis and then I start a smaller project!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner!
