The Fall into Fall Give Away is over for another year!! Thanks so much Debi for organizing this annual event! It was great meeting new friends and it was fun to visit other quilting blogs…My favourite blog list is growing WAY too long!
SOOOOO the winner of my Give Away was number 112- Alice in Quiltland!! Congratulations Alice- here’s a picture of what you won…just incase you forget…Please send me your address so that I can get this little bundle of Christmas joy to your house…
Recipe for Best Press~ Marie (no blog) sent me the recipe for Best Press which she found here on Cumberland Island Quilt Chick’s Blog…If it’s as good as Mary Ellen’s Best Press Starch (LOVE IT!!) then it would be worth a try…it makes a ton…you would HAVE to share with a friend…Actually, it would make a nice Christmas present wouldn’t it?! You can buy those cute little spray bottles at the Dollar Store…hmmmm…would be a great gift for all my your quilting friends…food for thought….! Thanks, Marie (and Sandra) for passing on the recipe!
There was no sewing for me yesterday…this is what I was busy with…
…the delivery of our new 5th Wheel!! YIKES!!
Yes, she is now parked in our driveway…and she is all ours! We traded in our older and smaller unit for this one. Isn’t she pretty?…and BIG!
Let me take you on a tour…Here’s the kitchen~do you think the hot dogs will taste any better?
Other side of the kitchen and living room with just a glimpse of the two lazy boy chairs~ Can’t you see me sewing at that table or stitching while reclined in the Lazy Girl chair…
This is the bedroom and YES the foot of the bed pops up for lots of storage under the bed…just in case I should buy any fabric down south this winter! :o) See the mirror to the right…behind that is a HUGE walk in closet!! TONS of storage!
Bathroom…
Looks like Molly and Rylie like it too!
So we are all set for our travels this winter~ we will be snowbirding in style! Now we just need to get it out of the driveway! Hmmm…
Have a FUN Friday and Happy Quilting!~P
Congratulations to Alice on winning your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWow for your caravan. It's huge. I think the kitchen in it is larger than the kitchen in my house
Love and hugs Gina xxx
Yea Alice!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love, love, love your RV! Best of luck with it, and happy travels.
Very nice, and yes I'm certain hotdogs will taste better made in that kitchen. How could they not?
ReplyDeletePaulette - it is just a lovely 5th! We are so enjoying our new one, and I have to get it's new quilt finished this winter! We find that our new 5th is so much more " home" than 'camping'. I have scored all the storage cupboards at the end wall for fabric and quilting tools, and the bedroom closet has lots of room for my Janome. Have great fun in your new unit!
ReplyDeleteGreat RV! You know I live in the RV capital of the world!! My daughter is an RV electrician. They are gorgeous, aren't they. She works on units that even have a garage in them. They call them toy haulers.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your GAW winner. Lucky Lady.
Oh this looks so spacious! Room for a sewing machine and lots of fabric too.
ReplyDeleteYes, where to store this big thing...let me see, Mexico, South Cal, oh, where ever you want...a great buy!
You are going to enjoy your new digs so much this next traveling season! Lucky you! Love it. - can you stowe me away with you?
ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive home away from home!!! Wow, I didn't know you could get walk in closets in trailers (are your custom fabric shelves installed yet?). What an awesome winter you're going to have in that luxurious 5th wheel!
ReplyDeleteWow what a nice 5th wheel! You will sure have a nice time snowbirding in that! Plenty of room for your sewing!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I love the wood floors and the green glass sink in the bathroom. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteThe hotdogs may taste the same but the living is going to be GOOD!
I love your new trailer, it is amazing how beautiful and roomy they are now. I want one, but all we can pull is a small one, so not worth it. Will wait till we can afford the motor to pull it;)
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Congrats to Alice on winning those gorgeous fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYour new 5th wheel looks wonderful - and big too. I'm glad to see the dogs have given it their seal of approval and how clever of you to buy one where the decor matches your lovely snowball quilt.
Congratulations Alice!
ReplyDeleteAnd holy moly that thing is amazing!!! It's bigger than the apartment we just moved out of! :) Wow, it looks like you're going to have so much fun in this thing!

ReplyDeleteOff to find some liquid starch...

I just bet Molly and Rylie will sleep better...LOL...and maybe even you and hubby.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just beautiful.
I think the hot dogs will taste mighty fine in your new fifth wheel. Congratulations on your new digs. It's a beautiful place. I showed your pics to my husband and he's thinking we should sell the house and live in a fifth wheel! ~~Lisa
ReplyDeleteWhat a great 5th wheel! Hope you have a great snowbird season! The pics are great and the quilt and the dogs already look at home!
ReplyDeleteHEY!!!! What a GREAT home!! And, YES, the hot dogs taste MUCH better when cooked in an RV kitchen. And, I am living proof that you can sew & eat at the same table - we've been doing it full-time now for 4 years in our Kountry Star. I have 2 Babylocks & a Husky serger....and about 6 thread trays, 3 totes of fabric, 1 of trims & tapes, my tool kit, a box of patterns, about 8 books or notebooks, and of course, our two laptops.....all stowed in various cubbies. The cutting mat lives under the floor mats, and stabilizer is on hangers in my closet. You can do it, girlfriend! And where are you headed? It was 92* down here in South Texas today...and it's all the way down to 77* tonight. Hope it STAYS like this allllllllll winter long! Snow? BAH Humbug!
ReplyDeleteNice RV Paulette. I don't know how I missed seeing this when you posted it. It's really nice, you are going to enjoy traveling in it. When are you leaving for your snowbird travels?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new RV! A home away from home with room enough to sew...that sounds perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your travels.
