Whoooppptee-doooo!! Kaaren from the Painted Quilt is offering Raggedy & Friends as a free, 10 month Block-of-the-Month for US to stitch!! This quilt is gorgeous!! Scrappy with Raggedy and Friends stitched into the blocks…so sweet!! Hurry over to her blog and read all about it. The blocks will be released on the 20th of every month starting this month!!
Now if I can only figure out how to put this cute little Raggedy and Friends button on my side bar!! Thanks so much, Kaaren! This is VERY generous of you!!
Sew many patterns…sew little time…which reminds me~ have you seen the new Christmas Fabric called…Fruitcake by Moda…LOVE IT!! Sew lovely!
It’s a work of art even before you start cutting and sewing!! I think know I will have a hard time cutting up this gorgeous fabric!! This is the kind of fabric that you HAVE to horde for at least three years…before you can bare to pick up the rotary cutter…I REALLY do have to get me some Fruitcake!! And it calorie free!!
With visions of Fruitcake dancing in my head…POP!… goes the vision! YIKES! I have got to get BUSY!! I have five ladies~ the wedding party and the bride plus hair dresser and make-up artist descending on our house. They are using our house to get ready…would you believe it’s not even 7 AM and they need ALL DAY to do this!! I have put mirrors everywhere, food is in the fridge, scones are in the oven and I’m out of here…my husband and I thought we would get the ‘heck’ out of Dodge- take the dogs and spend a nice day in Sooke and French Beach which is on the West side of the Island. They have gorgeous beaches…and hopefully it will be cooler there and a lot quieter!! We will return to chaos around 2 PM to get ourselves ready for the big event!! So wish us luck…;o)
Have a fun Friday and Happy Quilting!! Stay cool…~P
We just came home from French Beach yesterday - spent four days there. Yes the beach is the best!!
ReplyDeleteA cool beach sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteOurs are too crowded in the summer, so I need to head north to get some relief;)
Debbie
Thank you for the link to the BOM; you got me hooked again.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the wedding!
That fabric is soooooooooooo awesome!
ReplyDeleteGetting out of Dodge is a very good idea. Your remark about having to horde the Fruitcake collection for at least 3 years cracks me up! I do the exact same thing. It is hard to figure out if you have the right project for special fabric, isn't it? I definitely need to get my hands on this line.
ReplyDeleteMirrors everywhere - hilarious. What a fun and exciting day! Hope the wedding is fab - it's cooled down over here in Vancouver, so hopefully it has there, too.
ReplyDeleteThat fabric looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day and enjoy the wedding.
Going to the beach sounds like the best idea. Much cooler there for sure. I love that line of fabric as well, I hope you'll take the plunge and make something for this year and not be saving it forever :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the stitching link.
It seems a little cooler today....woohoo.
Raggedy Anne looks great and so does the Christmas fabric - when will the ideas stop??? not enough hours in the day!!!
