Button down the Button!!

In yesterday’s posting I mention that I wanted to put this cute little button on my side bar but I was having problems…. I think it’s called being computer illiterate…

image

I got this lovely email back from Kaaren with complete instructions on how to do ‘it’.  I KNOW that I’m not the only one out there who has trouble with this as I have heard some of you complaining about it…so I thought I would include those instructions here.  I am also sending a link to Kaaren’s blog so that you can post her button on your side bar to remind you and others about her free BOM (which will be posted on the 20th of each month!!)  SEW exciting!!

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ADD A BUTTON TO YOUR SIDEBAR WITH A LINK BACK TO SOMEONE’S BLOG~(complements of Kaaren from the Painted Quilt)

Okay, here's how to add mine or any button to your sidebar.
Right click in the image.
A menu will pop up.  Click on "save as".  This will automatically store the image in your photo or picture file.
Click on "dashboard" at the top of your blog.
Click on "add a gadget".
On the drop down menu, click on "Picture".
When the new screen opens, in the link section, type in my blog address...http://www.thepaintedquilt.blogspot.com
Further down where it says "browse", click on computer.  That will automatically take you to your saved photos.  Scroll til you find the Raggedy & Friends button, click on it and it will appear in the box.
Go down to the bottom of the screen and remember to click "SAVE".  That should do it.

AND guess what…IT WORKS!! Have a glance at my side-bar!!  Raggedy Andy is there waiting to be clicked on!!  Go ahead…DO IT..you know you wanna’!!

THANKS SO MUCH, KAAREN!!

WEDDING NEWS- last and final update!!

Yesterday morning at exactly 8 AM the bride (Ashley), my daughter, three other bride’s maids, plus make-up artist and hair stylist descended on our house…within minutes it was noisy chaos!

I put the scones in the oven, set the timer, grabbed the dogs and hubby and we headed for the hills with giggles, shrieks of laughter and music following us down the driveway…WHEW!!

We spent the day at China Beach and French Beach on the West Coast of the Island…gorgeous!!  And did I mention how quiet it was with just the sound of the surf in the background…Ahhhh….

Shortly before 2 o’clock we arrived home to some VERY gorgeous ladies…music had been turned down and the house was still standing…the make-up lady was doing ‘touch ups’ and the hair stylist was gone…she had worked her magic!  The ladies were gorgeous and the bride was stunning!

CHEERS!!

The flower girl and the ring bearer stole the show…so cute as they took their jobs very seriously…adorable!  And Ashley was radiant!!

Ashley and Graham cutting the cake…everything was perfect!!

And they lived happily ever after…and so did we! ;o)

THE END!

Have a super Saturday and Happy Quilting!!
