Framed!

Yes, my Homespun House quilt top has finally been sandwiched onto my hand quilting frame!

I am keeping it simple…big stitch quilting around each house…inside and out… using a variegated size 12 Valdani thread.   P1230861

I really love hand quilting…

…while listening to an audiobook, downloaded from our local library…

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover…this one has me sitting on the edge of my seat…stitching like mad!!

A lovely way to while away a hot and sunny afternoon…

I hope that YOU’RE having a lovely afternoon too!  Thanks for stopping by to have a look over my shoulder!~) P

  6. Love your houses. Perfect use for those wonderful homespun plaids. And what is this 'Valdani' thread? I need to learn more about 'bold stitch' thread options.

  8. I actually love hand stitching too, but only compare to free motion on the large ones. It is just easier to stitch and not worry about mistakes. What frame are you using?

  10. you are brave, hand quilting. I never have time to do that anymore ... and I always end up with sore fingers. Do you get sore fingers?

  11. Great Job! Is that a QSnap Frame? Do you like it? Do you need to do anything special to prepare your quilt to use in that frame?

  12. Time to fess up. I took it with me to read while I had a luxurious soak in a bubble bath. Finally I put it down when the bath became totally cold. Showered and dressed I grabbed the book and nary a peep out of me until the last page was turned. So very readable. I guess I remembered to eat and drink but nothing else was accomplished.

Enjoy quilting around your houses. I prefer to hand stitch but it can take an age.

    Blessings
