I got the Christmas Lil’Twister out last night night and finished putting the last BIG stitch into it…She is now ready for binding!! {Insert ‘Happy Dance’ here!!}
This was a VERY fun quilt to make and was VERY easy too! I will definitely be making more of these..Love those little interlocking li’twisters!
Thought you’d like to see a close-up of those BIG stitches…I used a beige variegated Valdani perle cotton.
Now my question is this…is my Christmas quilt 11 1/2 months EARLY or 1/2 a month too late? I didn’t have a table for this table topper to go on this year, so let’s go with EARLY…makes me sound SEW organized and SEW efficient…don’t you think? :)
Have a Woolly Wednesday and Happy Quilting!~P
That pattern is a great one and turned out great in Christmas prints. Beautiful. Hand quilting really is the best, isn't it?? A friend of mine at home made a 'twister' from the mini template. Darling!
ReplyDeleteOf course it's a year early! Who can catch up with the quilty output of the Clubhouse Quilters?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a future blog with pic's of all the Twisters!
Early or late for Christmas doesn't matter. This quilt is right on time! I love the way you are quilting this one.
ReplyDeleteCute Christmas quilt. I have yet to use my Lil'Twister.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of batting did you use?
This is so sweet - I love it!! Nice hand-stitching too!! You are waaaay aheasd for Christmas - hahaha!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Twisters too, I found a real small Twister at Bib'N Tucker quilt shop here in Victoria, it is a Primitive Gatherings patterns and will be fun to make.
ReplyDeleteYou ARE sew organized and SEW efficient Paulette! No one else gets as much finished as you. Love your early twister!
ReplyDeleteI love the big stitch quilting on your Lil Twister. If you don't have a table for it, you can always send it my way. LOL! Just sayin'!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful. I love the fabrics you chose. And your quilting is awesome too!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Want to give big stitch quilting a try. What kind of needle do you use?
ReplyDeleteOf course it's Early! Love the way you quilted it.
ReplyDeleteIt really looks nice with the big stitches.

Your Christmas twister looks wonderful! Now I want to make one!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely it is early. The past is past and nothin' we can do about it!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the past, do you remember I suggested one time that you give a tute on the Big Stitch? I would still love for you to show us. I don't know anyone around here that can show me. You are sew good at it!
A lot of the ladies at our last couple quilt retreats have made those twister quilts--we all said, "it sure is a shame to make a whole quilt then cut it up again!"
ReplyDeleteI love how you hand quilted it - what a great way to show off the twisters. I say go with being done early :). Sure am enjoying all of your show and tell. Looking forward to your quilt report from the Road to CA. On my bucket list :)

I like your twister. I made two with the larger twister and I love that they look so tricky to the non quilter but I know they are really easy. I also outlined my twisters and loved the way they looked, but I FMQd them and my lines weren't as true as yours. I really like the colors you used.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt, the colors and the great quilting stitches! I bought a lil twister ruler after your past about it, but haven't used it yet...you've provided more inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely early I reckon. As long as you can remember where you put it for safekeeping come next December!
