Buttons, Buttons…Who has the Buttons?

Louise does!  That’s who! 

Now that’s what I call a BIG mess of buttons!  Only a quilter gets excited over buttons…What is Louise doing with all these buttons?

Well in this case, these buttons are becoming wheels for these sweet little cars…

They are stinking cute!!…

P1100846  Louise is going to be turning these cars into an Advent Train…SEW cute!!  Each car will form a little pocket to hold a little Christmas surprise!  Now what little boy…or girl for that matter, could resist this little countdown Calendar!!  LOVE IT!

The pattern is called Christmas Express Advent Calendar by Lisa Girard for Trivoli Quilt Creations…a local Victoria designer!

I am off to Cloth Castle Club today…alone!  My quilting buddies are unable to attend…Dawn became a Grandma and ‘had’ to go to Calgary (sheesh) and Alice is wheel-less…sew..it’s just ME…:o(  BUT all is not lost…I’m meeting Claire for lunch and some quilt talk after Club! (Claire is a Kindergarten teacher and works mornings, so she can’t attend Club…UNTIL she retires…in another  year and a half!!  She could probably tell us how many more sleeps until freedom and FUN!)

    Have fun at the Cloth Castle! BTW, your wheel-less friend could probably borrow some 'wheel's' from your button friend. LOL

    The buttons make cute wheels. I wish I had some of the buttons I have had over the years and given away.

    I have 4 giant jars of buttons old and new, I don't think a person can get too many buttons! Every time I am in a quilt shop that sells buttons in bulk I always buy a scoop or two. They come in handy for all kinds of projects.
