YIKES!! What a MESS!
Here’s my sewing room…or rather what’s left of it! The wall is down and the carpet has been ripped up! Today’s job…plastering all the holes and MAYBE start the painting!
This room use to be a billiard room…but we sold the pool table and put up the wall. The blue room became my eldest daughter’s bedroom and the other side became the girls’ playroom…aka Barbie’s hangout!
When the girls left home…Barbie’s room became my exercise room and the bedroom became my sewing room!! (Ya see, there is life after kids!!)
Yes, the exercise corner stays! I DO use it, thanks to the arthritis in my back! So now my new big Sewing Room will be known as my Play Room…which is what we called it when the kids were little! Hmmm…I wonder if that means that Barbie will want to come back for a reunion…or perhaps a little quilt making?
Yes, there is light at the tunnel…isn’t there?
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! (I hope that you ignored the dust…!) ~P
How exciting! I have seeing room envy.
ReplyDeleteOh my! You were in that itty bitty room with all your sewing stuff?! I know you will enjoy the new space! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking good....you will really enjoy all the extra space. Or maybe with all your shopping sprees and garage sales you will have it filled up in no time.
ReplyDeletewhat's a little bit of dust among friends!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new room.
It's gonna be awesome! And, thanks for the advice, there is life after the kids leave. My son will be leaving in 2 weeks and I will be home alone for the first time ever. But, I will now have a sewing room!!! Wohoo!!! Excited about that. :)
ReplyDeleteAh - I can see the beginning of a beautiful (and long awaited) sewing room! All just a matter of time :)
ReplyDeletehow exciting. I am doing the same thing, not tearing out walls but painting and putting in new floors for my new to me sewing room.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great new room in the making!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, progress, sweet progress! I bet you're getting antsy for things to get done. I'm not very patient in that regard. Looking good!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! Hopefully it will move quickly so you can get back to enjoying it all.:)
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will be enjoying that playroom fully!!Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLola
Wow, you and Rick work fast, can hardly wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! You're going to love the extra room.
ReplyDeleteJust think about how much more fabric and other quilt-related stuff you'll be able to fit in there now. Woo hoo!
Can't wait for the final reveal!
I am thinking of all the fabric that could be stored in the space the exercise equipment takes up. You would get lots of excercise reaching into all the bins of fabric.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful wonderful space you will have. Hang in there it won't be long and you'll be sewing/stitching away in your own little playhouse. Maybe Barbie will come back to see the changes lol.
