♫♪ “Let it Sew, Let it Sew…Let it Sew”♫♪

My goal for yesterday’s Christmas Sew-A-Long was to get my little wall hanging quilted…well I ran out of steam…it just didn’t happen!!  The wool carrot noses, eyes and mouth dots just took too darn long to hand stitch…BUT I did get the quilting started and I’ll have no problems finishing it today…YEAH!!   P1100578 P1100580   It’s going to be dang cute!!

The pattern is called ‘Let it Snow’ by Farmhouse Threads.  They have lots of gorgeous patterns…check it out here!

Thanks Sue and Cathi for hosting another great Christmas Sew-a-Long!  Hop over to Sue’s and see what everyone made…

It just dawned on me… only one more Sew-a-Long to go before Christmas!  I’m going to have to put the pedal to the metal!

Have a Super Sunday and Happy Quilting!~P

  3. I would find it hard to sew on the pieces, after the quilt is together. I usually do my blocks first, then sew the quilt together, but I guess this pattern has to be done the other way. I have added wool onto projects after I made them. That is one good thing, you can sew wool on without going through both layers.

  8. Would you like the good news or the bad first?

The good news, is that your quilt is going to look gorgeous, and it's nearly finished.

The bad news? I wasn't planning on holding a Quiltalong day in December. I didn't think people would want one. Perhaps I should take a vote or re-think it?

  9. I was going to wait for Sue to tell you that we weren't going to do the Quilt-a-long in December! LOL But there is no reason we can't just all sew for Christmas that Saturday anyway!!

I checked the website and like Karen, the "Let It Snow" is only available in the candle mat. But on the "Pattern Updates" page it says there is a correction for the "Let It Snow" pattern that was purchased at the Long Beach Quilt Festival. Was that where you bought it?

  12. You ARE right, dang cute! I especially love their noses! You're almost done! In the home stretch, I always feel things move so much faster once the basting is done because pin basting is not my fave!

  16. I ordered a pattern from Farmhouse Threads and they sent me Let is Snow by mistake. I fell in love with that pattern but don't applique, so I passed the pattern on to a friend. She finished hers just this month, it's as cute as yours. Perfect timing on your finish.
