When you order the 4 inch Finished Quarter Square Triangle GO! die…
..you get Alex Anderson’s Star Delight Pattern for FREE!
So thanks to GO! and Alex…I now have the cutest FINISHED table mat for our 5th Wheel!
Rather than machine quilt it, I opted for hand quilting it using variegated ( No. 12) brown Valdani Perle Cotton. I took bigger stitches than normal …and I must say…I REALLY like the effect! It makes these stars twinkle just a little bit brighter!
See what I mean…well worth a little extra time to hand stitch it!
Even the back sparkles as I buried all knots and threads…
I might just have to bring this one in when we’re not on the road! :o)
Oh…and did I mention that this is my first OPAM finish for November! Wahoooo!! Got to love that!
Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P
Love it! Screams me and my house! Great line of fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooh....that's too lovely! The hand quilting gives it the aaahh!
ReplyDeleteThat was quick, already a finish for November. I love the hand stitching.
ReplyDeleteSew, sew cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The brown hand quilting was the right thing to do - really makes it awesome. It will look great on the table in the 5th.
ReplyDeleteToo cute. You did a really great job. You should really think of designing. You are that good.

Love it. I agree the hand quilting just finishes it off. Very pretty. Your blog is such an inspiration to me.
ReplyDeleteLove it and I love the big stitches quilting.. :o))
ReplyDeleteAmazing thing that GO..:O)) Seems to go like the speed of lightning for everyone owning a Go..:O))
I love the way you quilted it. The pattern is awesomw also. I think I could use one of those for our RV!
ReplyDeleteAt the quilt show this past week-end, we saw a lap quilt quilted like that. I think that is a clever idea.
I agree, you should start designing.

That made a beautiful table mat, especially with the prim fabrics. I need to start some soon, like the idea of having new ones just for Christmas.

Way to go. It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust too cute! Love the color palette.
ReplyDeleteOh! It is gorgeous!!!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWonderfully done! How many more projects will you be able to finish this month? No pressure.....
ReplyDeleteReally great. Might have to make one in blues and whites for a Christmas lap quilt. Yours looks warm and inviting, and I love the larger quilting on it.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so cute....the hand quilting looks great. The back too!
ReplyDeleteThe back is just as pretty as the front! I love this table mat.
ReplyDeleteI love your table mat. Totally my colors! I'm so envious of those who can look at a pattern and see the potential, even if the colors/fabrics used are completely unappealing to them. I saw the pattern and thought "yuck", but WOW...you sure did change MY mind!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! You'll have the clssiest 5th wheel around!!
ReplyDeleteI really do love this - and I have a question for you. I've just recently gotten the Go and am loving it. My question is what dies you have, which ones you use the most and which ones you want but don't have yet. Oops, that's more than one question! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I like how the hand quilting looks too, just perfect for this table runner.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love it! Those are SO MY COLORS! And your quilting on it is perfect for it!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern! The hand quilting looks great . . . I still like the look of hand quilting . . . I just wish I had more time!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - and I LOVE the quilting!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. I must say I prefer your colour choice to the one in the pattern, but sshhh, don't tell anyone.
ReplyDeleteLove it
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs Gina xxx
