It’s Jodi’s Turn to…

CRY? (…can you tell that I woke up this morning with Lesley Gore’s song in my head…you know the one…It’s Judy’s Turn to Cry…)…Well in Jodi’s case..she is definitely not crying…she is rejoicing!  She has finished TWO Christmas beauties…

This gorgeous Twister…in Christmas fabrics!  Lovely with the twisters all scattered and scrappy!

And NO…this is NOT a panel!  Jodi machine appliqued this Christmas Row Quilt…see how it starts with one Santa, then two elves, three snowmen…just adorable!  Jodi doesn’t have any grandbabies YET…but when she does, she is going to be prepared!!

This quilt is huge…massive…and Jodi says she has the perfect wall to hang it on!

Here are some close-up…oh man, the details!  Incredible!

She has stitched on buttons and special effects here and there!

LOVE the train!  Wouldn’t this make a wonderful border around a boy’s quilt?!

And Jodi hung those stocking with care in the hopes that someday she would have some little feet pitter-pattering around the house…saying, “I love your quilt, Grandma!”  OK…maybe she’s too busy to be thinking like that…but we won’t tell her sons THAT!!  :o)

Thanks for sharing, Jodi!!  This is going to be a cherished family quilt to (eventually) hand down to the next generation!

Have a Wicked Wednesday and Happy Stitching!~P

  3. I am not much one for Christmas quilts, but I love these two! Is the Santa quilt a pattern Jodi brought or did she design it herself? I could definitely take the time to make this for next year! Thank you for your great daily posts.

  7. Jodi did a remarkable job on both quilts and yes, some day those future grand kiddos will all want to be sleeping under her special row by row quilt. Thanks for putting Lelie Gore in my head, Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows...
