As usual, Heritage was busy and with the Holiday Season upon us we seem to be focused on giving handmade gifts!
There was Happy Dancing going on at our table, as one of the quilters SCORED this Winter Table Topper…it had been left on the Share Table! For a donation into the Charity Can, the finder of this table topper gave herself an early Christmas gift!
Sandy takes her quilting seriously…well some of the time…Here she is showing off her little Christmas banner, that she will hang in her own home, to honour her two beautiful Grand-daughters!
For a newbie sewer, Sandy is surprising us all…HAND embroidery…and a flange border! AND look at the piecing!! YOWZERS…I think I better STOP calling her a newbie!
Now…I showed you Sandy’s rag quilt before but I failed to mention how she used RED flannel inside the sandwich, instead of batting. This gives the quilt a lovely, soft cozy feel and frames all of the blocks in red! Brilliant!
Glynis was finishing off her Cathy Cardiff FREE design from the Primitive Christmas Blog Hop…very sweet! This project gave her a chance to try out the Press and Seal paper for transferring the printing…Glynis said she liked it…it was easy to use… but next time she will make her stitches smaller and tighter as some of them pulled when she removed the paper. Good to know!
Glynis was also working on this sweet guy…and do you see her sparkly hand dyed WOOL background…PERFECT for this project!
Delores brought in her gorgeous runner to show as it’s almost finished! She is making two for gifts…LUCKY recipients
Loved her row tags!
There is NOTHING like a SCRAP HAPPY quilt! This one was getting pinned/basted for quilting!! So beautiful!
This quilt was very unusual and different…with the print peeking through here and there…
And this quilt was STUNNING!! Loved it!
All machine appliqued…and echo quilted!
Betty FINALLY made a quilt for herself! You may remember that Betty usually makes a charity quilt EVERY week! It was so nice to see her make one for her own table…all hand appliqued and hand quilted! This one is going on her dining room table! YEAH BETTY!
This gorgeous quilt is going into the Charity Basket…very nice!
I believe this was called a Hunter Star Quilt and it was beautifully done! WOW!!
Loved the fabric in this one!! Not red…and not pink! Perfect!
And last week everyone was in the kitchen learning how to make bows! These quilts are going to look so pretty all wrapped up and tied with beautiful bows! Thanks for sharing your talent, Diane!
This coming Monday, Heritage Quilt Guild is having their annual Christmas festivities! It will be my last meeting before we head South…and lucky me…it’s their Pot Luck Christmas PARTY!! What a send off!:o) These quilters KNOW how to COOK more than just quilts!!
Have a FUN Friday and Happy Stitching!~P
Everything looks wonderful, but I love the scrappy quilt.

ReplyDeleteI just love seeing what everyone is doing, some lovely thins there. We just had our quilt guild luncheon and it was a lot of fun. Busy making my home made gifts too. (I was formerly Quilting With Terry and The Cats, but accidently deleted my blog so this is the new one)
ReplyDeleteThat is some productive group of quilters! Nice send off for you to head South for the winter. We've had unusually warm weather so far but the weathermen keep saying that it will change soon.
ReplyDeleteLoved the article in Quiltmania! You are such a celebrity!! Keep it up. Janet
