At Heritage Quilting, on Monday, our local Quilt Shop owner came and gave us a workshop on how to make these sweet Christmas ornaments!  She confessed that she found it while on Pinterest…which linked her back to the original quilter’s tutorial!  YOU can find that toot HERE! It’s worth a visit just to see HER stars…red and white and stinking cute…GO…I WILL WAIT!! (Don’t you love Pinterest!)

They are easy to make…you need the pentagon shape……

and all sides must be the same length. (Make a template) Put a dark and a light pentagon shape together (right sides together) and stitch around leaving a small opening on one side to turn.  Clip your corners first to reduce the bulk.

On the light side mark the center points on each side and draw lines joining these points.

Then fold on the pencil lines and top stitch down…

How easy is that!  We, of course…being quilters… started to join the stars thinking that a quilt of stars would be awfully SWEET!!

Now hurry off to the original blog…and see what she has to say about these Country Stars… her instructions are clear and simple…you will be seeing STARS too…dang cute Country STARS!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P

  11. Wouldn't they make great gift labels if you made the star from a suitable light fabric.
