It’s a GOOD THING!!

I’m so thankful that at the end of a very busy day I am able to find tranquility and calm by stitching in the evenings.  It’s such a lovely stress buster!  Hand work gives me the much needed time to reflect and plan…or just focus on that piece of cloth and needle and forget about what’s going on around me!  There is definitely a calming rhythm to quilt making and such a wonderful way to end any day…ahhh!  BLISS!

Last night I did just that…I finished off the JOY banner…and let me tell you… STINKING CUTE!! (Trust me…looks better in REAL life!:o)

I changed it up a bit…I stitched the corners together and added a green button on each of the corners…and red homespun became the ribbons for tying.

This one is going to be difficult to give away…

Then I hauled out the FREE Jan Patek quilt…from the Moda Star Blog Hop from this Fall…sandwiched it with batting and backing…and started BIG stitch quilting it!  This is going to be a fun one to stitch!

Yup, if I get any more relaxed I’ll be comatose!!

What about YOU?  Does quilting have that calming effect on you?  I sure hope so…it’s a GOOD THING… at  ANY time of year!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Stitching!

  11. Cute as can be. Hand work is always relaxing, but at this time of the year it can unfortunately be allusive.
