“SCORE!!!”

Ok, Ok…I confess!!  I was up to NO GOOD yesterday…The plan was to take Sandy with me so that she would keep me on the straight and narrow…but danged if that didn’t backfired on me!!!

So where did we go yesterday?

We went to a Quilter’s Garage Sale!  As soon as we entered the room, Sandy’s eyes glazed over and her brain turned to mush and she couldn’t reel me in…in fact she was so busy shopping for herself that she FORGOT all about me!  I was left to my own devices…:o(  P1200584

  …hence…the LOOT!

P1200590

All  I could say was “SCORE!!!” as I helped Sandy carry OUR loot out to the car!

WE were bad…very, very bad!

Have a SUNNY Sunday and Happy Quilting!~P

  4. Paulette, you need to work more on those two basic things..."sit " and "stay ". Ask your two fur babies to help you review those. I am certain Rick would be amazed!

  5. I wish I could find one of those, lol.
We hit a few stores but nothing new or anything that I couldn't get anytime, so no buys.

  7. You two looked like you were having a very good time. I found a few things too - not as much as last time but added to my stash of balis. Sounds like there will still be another sale or two. Wow, that lady sure had alot of fabric. I thought I had a problem until I went to the first sale. Enjoy your new finds.

  13. I'm so bad, all I can think about is how much you paid for all that. Since you didn't say, I'm wondering if it was really a 'great' deal or not! =)

You seem to find the best sales out your way. Glad you had a fun time shopping!

  14. I too had a great time - you are truly a charitable person - it WAS overwhelming, but in such a good way - AND the prices were good, about $4/metre (39') I believe, but it does add up quickly and I showed remarkable restraint. (good for you Vicki, 'pat, pat, pat, on the back')but don't know if I will next time. I have my loot on the dining room table and am feeling very satisfied. (even picked up a 'free bag' of scraps to play with)

  16. I came out with some fabric yesterday thanks to you. Too bad I missed seeing you there. I have a hard time understanding how one person can have so much fabric.

  26. Woohooooo you did good on your own. I like the striped fabric in that back row.

It's probably good I don't have a blog right now because I had one heck of a shopping spree myself a week ago. It's embarrassing how much I came home with. Seriously. Half of my 6' x 45" wide cutting table is full of fabric plus a garbage bag, and a box, and there are two totes with more and with books, magazines, and envelopes filled with patterns and templates already cut out that are all very old. Then there are also small bins with lids the size of shoe boxes still in the back room on top of our dryer that I have to deal with as soon as I finish with this stuff in here. Those are all filled with lots of goodies but are all color sorted. I know there are many precut pieces of fabrics and some had actual quilt blocks already made and then one is filled with laces and ribbons etc.

  28. What a fantastic haul! A Quilters Garage Sale... - that must be the closest thing to heaven without having died first! Wait. Chocolate would be the closest thing, so make that the second closest thing!
