  3. That is a very cute pattern! I would do it in the same colors as it shows. Yes, I have often bought a pattern I already own, and even a book sometimes, but, since I don't blog, my quilter friend who lives close by is usually the one who benefits. Thank you for the opportunity to win a really nice pattern (which I don't already own)!

  4. How about if I win, we do a quilt along together?

I absolutely love basket quilts and this would definitely be moved to the top of my "to do" list.

  5. LOL, I do the same thing with used quilt magazines I get from our local Cultural Center. I have a long list too, but can I ever remember to take it with me? Nope. I too would love to win your extra book. Smiles, it is one I know I don't have. melodylamour@yahoo.com

Thanks for a chance.. this would be a bucket list quilt to accomplish for me.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've never made a basket quilt. If I win, I'll give it a try. I don't recall buying the same item, but I know I've definitely checked out books at the library I've already read. I've actually made myself a spreadsheet to keep track of the books I've read. Thanks for the chance to win this great little book!

    ReplyDelete

  50. What a lovely pattern. I've seen the basket quilts here and there and they're growing on me. I especially like the colours this one is shown in instead of the brights, makes it more autumn-ish.
The thing in our house we buy alot of doubles of are dvds. I think we're inching our way to a dozen, when this happens we donate the duplicates to our local library so don't feel bad! Looks like there's alot of us "dopes" out there ;o)

  82. Let me join right in your I'm a dope club. A few years back, I found that I had purchased 2 copies of a Northwoods quilt book, that I loved. When I tried to give a copy to my fav quilting sister, she refused, as she had purchased 2 copies of the same book herself. We must have been shopping together. Does that show just how much impulse buying we all do? I don't have this book... Wink Wink!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I have never made a basket yet. I would love a pattern. Yes I have bought duplicate magazines before. Thankfully the store took them back with the reciept. Silly me. Extra trip.

  85. ROFL - yep, done it too! Don't pick me though, while I love it I have no fabrics that would do it justice and it would sit in a drawer, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Ha ha, well I haven't brought the same pattern twice, but I have just got a free appliquéd basket pattern from Christine (which you featured on your blog) and I just received a pieced basket (with appliqué and stitchery) pattern from a magazine, which I was looking for and talked about on my blog! So while I already have TWO basket patterns the first is becoming a table runner and the second a bed quilt....so I NEED a wall hanging!!! Yep basket obsessed! Happy quilting, Sue SA.

    ReplyDelete
  87. oh that is a wonderful quilt pattern--I would probably buy it twice too!!!
