Retail Therapy...

I'm planning on making several NEW projects...which of course calls for some RETAIL THERAPY!

Check out what I have found so far....

As far as OLD, I am still busting those UFOs...next up is this baby~(sorry about the poor pic...)

I found enough fabric in 'the stash' for the binding and backing!  Oh happy days!  It kills me to pay big bucks for backing! When I find it in my stash, I do a happy dance, as that means it's free!  :o)  Only another SANE quilter will understand THAT logic! haha

I'm off to get Squished!!  Got to keep those girls healthy and happy!  What about YOU...have you been squished lately?  (FYI...Squished is code for Mammogram...it's time!)

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Stitching!~P

  1. Great fabrics for your new projects, and of course, I love your UFO nine-patch. Would love to have that pattern. Good luck on your squish, I'm making an appointment today.

  2. Love that turquoise number fabric and the black and white stripe. Is the stripe a Timeless Treasure fabric. I've been trying to find a similar one.

Have fun with your new project.

  4. Ah yes, the smell of new fabric! Great UFO busting. Can't beat a nine-patch! Thanks for the "squish" reminder to people. I've had mine this year, but it is always good to remind people.

  5. I love "free" quilts. I have been really trying to use up fabric. Even piece the backs with sort-of-matching fabrics is ok by me!

  6. Finding fabric in your stash is always a score. A reminder to get "squished" is good, I did that in June so good for this year.

  9. Looks like you got some wonderful fabrics to work with. I know once I start quilting more, I will find I need something, lol. I grab yardage when I find it on sale, have some from years ago, but it is nice and it is going a nice bed quilt, guess I need to make one;)

  11. Getting squished in a couple weeks and I know exactly what you mean about "free" backing!

  12. I buy cheap fabric specifically for backs, and I do not like to use good quality "front fabric" for the back, no matter how old it is. So that is my verson of frugal!

You nine patch looks very pretty. Reminds me of a recent Primitive Quilts pattern. I am so impressed with all these finishes, Paulette. I'm getting inspired!

  13. It was fun to be at the Exhibition today and recognize your quilts before even looking at the name on the tag! Beautiful work!
