Look at where I went bright and early Sunday morning…
Yup, I know EXACTLY what you’re thinking…that I have a problem! Not true…SEW not true! I like to think of my Garage Sale antics as giving back to my community…and man, do I LOVE to give back!
This Garage Sale was located in the small parking lot between the Cloth Castle Fabric Shop and the church right next door.
All of the tables to the right held the quilting stuff..to the left was household…Yup…you guessed it…beeline to the right!! Whew, I was early enough that there were only two other ‘shoppers’! The early bird gets the worm, you know..or in this case the fabric, patterns and books!! heeheehee
There’s Natasha (in the pink) from ‘The Joy of Quilting Blog’ and her sister, Miriam (in the hat) from ‘The Rogue Quilter Blog’…along with Cindy (I think that’s her name??..no blog..Cindy, you really need a blog!!) manning the tables.
YIKES!!…what are YOU three doing, SELLING your stuff?!! Haven’t you heard of STASH?!
Just LOOK at all the goodies on the table…and priced VERY reasonably!! They had packaged all their fabric into bags of same colour or by fabric lines…a perfect way to bulk up your stash!!
Would you believe that there was a Church service going on NEXT door!! Hymns rained down on us…punctuated with a few ‘SCORES’ from our side of the lot!! I couldn’t help myself…:o}
Anyway, it was great fun! Thanks Natasha, Miriam and Cindy!…Yes, GSing is FUN!! And it really isn’t ALL about the LOOT…OK, I lie…it is ALL ABOUT the loot!!
You really do want to see THE LOOT…don’t you? If not…then go now and hopefully I will see you tomorrow…because “Here Comes The Loot, yeah, Here Comes the Loot!” (hey, this would make a great TV Show…and I know the perfect hostess!!:)
Patterns…$1 EACH!! “SCORE!!”
Magazines…5 for $1! “SCORE!”
Books…$2 each!! “SCORE!!”
Fabric by the bundle…$5 or less!! “Score!”
Perle Cotton…$2 pkg!! “Score!” Pkg. of fabric…$2! “Score!” (some big chunks in there too!)
$2!
$2!! “SCORE!!”
So there you have it!!
There is NO WAY that I could have sat through that Church Service and listened to all those “Scores!” coming through the open windows…There is NO WAY!
My name is Paulette…and I have a problem…
Have a marvelous Monday and Happy Quilting!~P
