We Salute YOU, Betty!

This is Betty…you’ve met her before.

 

Betty is a Heritage Guild member who cranks out a charity quilt EVERY week!  She takes scraps of discarded fabric and turns them into magnificent quilts that any child or adult would love to snuggle under!  Quilts like THIS one~

  Betty is the heart of our Charity Quilt program, she really is!

Aren’t they magnificent!

Nothing makes my heart beat faster than a Scrap Happy Quilt!

On Monday, Betty gave us a trunk show of some of the quilts that she made over the years…quilts that she kept.  Betty amazed me as she spoke about her quilts…she remembered where she bought the fabric, the name of the pattern, the magazine or book title that it came out of!  Her of love of applique, paper piecing and just plain ol’quilting shines through in all her projects!  Plus her sense of colour and fabric choice is incredible!

Betty looked for the perfect piece of fabric to make them…she finally found this piece…one parrot got the right side of the fabric and the other got the wrong side of the fabric!  Aren’t they PERFECT!

There was so much to look at, so much to see!  Betty’s love of quilting shines through with each and every project and her workmanship is exquisite!

Yup, there is plenty to CROW about when Betty shows up!
