I just finished off a quilt fit for a Mason! My daughter’s long time friend just had her first baby…little Mason… so of course Mama had to make the wee one a quilt!
Stitching the last big stitches using an off white Valdani cotton perle cotton thread…
Funny how the colour in both these pictures isn’t quite right…the background fabric is darker than the top but lighter than the bottom. If I wasn’t still in my PJs I would be taking pictures outside!! The background fabric is a Japanese linen and the backing is a soft minkie.
Some close up shots…This quilt looks way better in real life as there is more contrast between the hexies/letters and the background!
Once washed, this quilt will wrinkle up like a Sharpei Puppy! I love it when that happens!!
Now I better wrap this baby up…so that I can go and cuddle the real deal!! :o))
Have a fun Friday and Happy Stitching!~P
Thats really great quilt. Love how you personalized it. Could you tell us how you did the lettering. I'd love to do that for my grandson ?? You make really beautiful quilts !!
ReplyDeletePaulette, this baby quilt is just so cute. I think that you should consider putting out a pattern for the quilt. Baby Mason is going to love snuggling up with this treasure.
