You may have noticed that I have been MIA this past week…well…we were working our way up to this important day…our daughter’s wedding day!! (Just saying THAT brings a tear to my eye!)
This is the beginning of the walk down to the arbour overlooking the mountains and ocean below…the music starts…and off we go!
Here we are…walking our beautiful daughter down the aisle to her handsome groom! Such an emotional day…it’s hard to smile when you are fighting off tears…but they were HAPPY TEARS! Isn’t Maggie BEAUTIFUL!! (gosh…where did the years go…?!)
What a special day it was! Of course the sun shone just like we ordered (we even got a FULL moon later that evening…and we never thought to order THAT (I highly recommend it though!! haha)! The venue was on top of Mount Washington and the reception was held at Raven Lodge which was spectacular!
I took these pictures off of Facebook as they seemed to sum up our day nicely! EVERYTHING was picture perfect!
And of course I HAVE to show you pictures of our sweet Mason…who stole the show with his moves…YES he is walking!
These next pictures were taken inside the Lodge before the wedding started. I thought you might like to see what happened to all that JUNK that I was painting back HERE…well…Remember the old windows…they became the frame for the Seating Chart…see the lists in each pane. AND can you see the bunting in the background? Compliments of Missouri Stars tutorial HERE!
The picture frames became chalkboards.
The Sweet Table was a hit for both young and OLD! All of the jars were filled with candies and sweets!
Log slabs were the centre pieces and packages of cookies were tucked into each napkin as an added treat! Chocolate Chip and Shortbread cookies were made by the two mothers…the MOB and the MOG!
And OF COURSE I had to slip a QUILTING TABLE into the mix!! haha Instead of having the guests sign a Guest Book, they signed a patch of fabric which will be turned into their wedding quilt! ‘Horizon’ fabric by Kate Spain (picked by the bride) has been pre-ordered for the quilt but the fabric isn’t available until September.
After a lovely dinner, speeches and toasts to the bride and groom…we got down to some serious dancing!
Again these pictures are compliments of Facebook (got to love it!) The band was awesome…and although we didn’t do the Chicken Dance, I did learn a crazy ROBOT dance! Yes, I still have the moves…ohhh…the back…the back…! :o))
So ends our happy party!! The Bride and Groom are off on their honeymoon, touring the east coast of Canada and finishing off with a weekend in New York City! We wish them joy and happiness and a wonderful life together!!xo OH…and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAGGIE!! (If their anniversary is ever forgotten, that person (and I’m not naming names here…:o) will be in double trouble as he will have forgotten Mag’s birthday as well…!:o)
You have a magical Monday (…my house is in total chaos but I’m going to Quilting! Man, do I NEED a day stitching with the girls!!) Happy stitching to YOU all!! ~P
