Hello OUT THERE!! Yes, I am still here!! :o))
Life is GOOD! I had a VERY busy weekend…my daughter, Maggie was here for the weekend…which meant tons of shopping and LOTS of wedding planning and of course eating!
Maggie was also over for the Baby Shower for Carrie…we are down to DAYS until Grammy’s ‘lil man’ arrives! I will keep you all posted!!
First off…Carrie LOVED her baby quilts… here she is with the Monkey Quilt…
Can you make out the Lamb Quilt…Yes, Grammy apparently needs lessons on camera settings…sheesh!..but you get the idea!
Of course there were games…like GUESS how big the circumference of Carrie’s middle is…Man I was way off…!:o{} Not good! Remember if you ever play this game…make your guess on the low side…. Just sayin…(guessing TEN inches bigger is NOT a good thing!!)
Having said that..doesn’t she make a beautiful pregnant mama!
I’m glad this is her and not ME!
The food…well let’s just say one picture is worth a thousand bites!
How cute is THIS!! And yummy too!
Carrie got tons of wonderful loot!
And of course everything was followed up with this sweet cake! Ahhhhhdorable!
This wee onzee says it all! Our ‘lil’man’ really is a miracle!
Hope you enjoyed Carrie’s Shower! You throw food and games at a group of women and you are bound to have fun! Toss in a couple of quilts and we get down right giddy! :o}}}
Now it’s all about the WAAAAIIIITTTTT…. And finding out his NAME…I mean really…he can’t be “Grammy’s Lil’Man” forever…can he?
Thanks for stopping by…tomorrow I will be back with quilts…lots and lots of quilts! Hope to see you then!~P
What a wonderful shower and love the baby buggy idea.
ReplyDeleteI need to get mine done today, just need to fix something and then wash it, but he is coming today. They are walking around now, trying to speed things up.

The wait is well worth it. Grandkids are sew special. All the love and joy you could ask for with no responsibility... Yep, perfect.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for news of the newest arrival, you'll be over the moon with excitement for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts you made and the shower looked like so much fun. OH! and the food table.............
What an exciting time for you. Hope your daughter lives close to you so that you get to see a lot of that grand baby. Mine live in Vancouver and even though I'm a 10 minute drive from the ferry, I still don't get to see enough of them. The two youngest are three now and a delight. The baby quilts look fabulous, as does that baby carriage cake. Good luck with the delivery, hope it's soon, the anticipation is as hard on the grammy as it is on the mother.
ReplyDeleteThat watermelon full of fruit looks yummy. I would have eaten about half of the fruit and left the sweets.
ReplyDeleteCarrie does look beautiful....and well rested.....for now. Looks like everyone had a great time.
ReplyDeleteHe'll always be Grammy's lil' man! He doesn't need a name because you'll have your own language with him! The shower looked really fun and Carrie is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shower and quilts. Congratulations on your new grandbaby.
ReplyDeleteI am a "Grammie" of the most wonderful miracle little man. He was adopted and they were trying to keep the name a secret until my DIL slipped one night a few weeks before his arrival. We still laugh about it and treasure each day with him!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you will have with your "little man". I waited till 4 girly-girls arrived before we got the little man. As long as they are healthy it really doesn't matter. I now have 10 grands, 6 girls, 4 boys, and 2 great boys and 1 great girl.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun - love the quilts!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had lots of fun - and great food too.
