Hands Across the Water 2013…

Every Spring the Heritage Quilting Guild shares a day with the south end Gulf Island quilters…mainly Pender Island, Mayne Island and Saturna.  We take turns hosting the event and this year it was our turn!  We have Show and Tell, get inspiration from a guest speaker, break some bread, award door prizes and give aways and of course shop…yes, we have a few venders bring in their wares!  Ahh fun times!!

The Hands Across the Water Banner gets hung…

And the Heritage quilts get draped around the hall…

Our weather has turned to rain…which is good for our Spring Flowers and good for our quilters!!  Yes, there is nothing like the day spent with guilt free quilting!  No weeds calling our names…and the dust bunnies?  Well we quilters like to harmonize with nature…! :o}}

Yup…I’m singing in the RAIN!!

Thanks for popping in for a visit!! ~P

  1. Sew much eye candy. I bet this is a wonderful event for all involved.

  2. Those are some truly amazing, incredible quilts in your show. Wow!

  3. What a great event, so much inspiration in all those quilts. Wish there was a group like that for me to join here on the peninsula. The rain does seem to have set in, but I have lots of quilts on the go at the moment, so won't be lacking in something to do. Weeds, what weeds?

  4. What fun. Looks like a super talented group of quilters. Enjoy!

  5. Great photos!! I may have to 'borrow' a few for the newsletter, as I forgot to get my camera out!

  6. I really loved quite a few of those wonderful quilts! Thanks for sharing the show of talent with us!
Enjoy your rainy day quilting too...;-)

  7. I think that I spotted a few of your quilts-right? Looked like a fun time.

  8. Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects.

  9. Wonderful quilt show and lots of beautiful quilts.

  10. I'm always up for another quilt show.:) Thanks for sharing.

  11. Ooohhh.....I love quilt shows. Always so much inspiration. Makes me want to head down to my sewing room. I know I have 2 kits just calling my name right now.

  12. Really talented people in your neck of the woods!
I made one similar to the little houses one. So nice to see something simple too and not just difficult works.

  13. What a fun quilt show. You have lots of talent! Thanks for sharing with all of us. Happy for your rain so you will be able to quilt. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the show.

  14. Thanks so much for sharing the talents of your guild members! I loved seeing the quilts and the designs! There were a lot of quilts. I really love that quilt behind the piano bench with the white pumpkin. I want to see more of it! The Bunny Hill quilt was really cute too... all of them are great though.
