I am involved in FOUR BOMs....and need to wait for more blocks to be released from the designers before I can prep more. Plus, I never just prep one block at a time...I figure if I'm going to make a mess, let's make it big and prep a whole bunch!
SEW...while I waited...I flipped through old Quiltmania magazines...and came across this issue! Tons of little pink tags sticking out...and one of those tags flagged a project has been on My Bucket List forever...or since Quiltmania released the #83 issue! I say let's get it prepped and ready...and waiting in the wings!
You can see the pattern sheet underneath the magazine...the smallest, sweetest baskets EVER! (You can also see the name of this quilt on the project sheet below.)
Then one envelope at a time, I prepped the blocks. (Hey...I wonder where that white hair came from?;o)
Looks kind of plain, doesn't it? You can see from the project sheet, that it's the embroidery work that will give this wee block pizzazz!
And one more block...
Again...look at how the embroidery work will add tons of interest to this block...
And here is the whole quilt, ready for stitching. Each piece of wool has been backed with Heat N Bond Lite and adhered to the Diamond Textile 6 1/2" squares ready for stitching!
No more worries about running out of hand-work in the evening and it also gives me work to take to Heritage on Monday mornings! Yeehaw!
I'm all ready for a new British Series...any suggestions? I am SEW gobsmacked over British telly....watched with a bit wee bit o'stitchin'- of course!
Thanks for popping in!! Have a SUNNY Sunday and Happy Stitching!~P
