It's Been a Picnic...

My 'Life's a Picnic' table top is officially ready for quilting!  It was a fun one to stitch!

 And some close-ups...

The watermelon slices are improv...you start with a red rectangle and sew on the triangle sides...no pattern, no templates.  Each slice is different from the others...you can see a tutorial on how to make the triangles HERE.

The ants and slice of watermelon were taken from the Art to Heart Book called "Easy Does It For Summer" (see the tea towel on the right bottom corner...:o)
And there you have it...easy peasy!  The perfect summer table topper/wall hanging!

Yup...as they say, it was a slice!

I hope you have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Stitching!~P
