SCORE...a perfect day!!

Check out the antique/vintage quilt that I found while shopping at a Victoria Thrift Shop with my daughter...(please ignore the tail!  Rylie had to inspect and give her full approval!)  It's an Endless Chain quilt all hand pieced and hand quilted!

Check out the happy, wonderful fabrics...I love them all

Such a cheerful, happy quilt!  (I know...I have used the word 'happy' twice but that's what it is...HAPPY!)

The yellow circles have all been hand appliqued. Some of the  rays aren't a perfect match but I think that adds to the charm!
An Endless Chain quilt is on my TO DO LIST and this one is going to help spur me on!  After seeing this quilt, maybe it's inspired you too...Hey, maybe we can make it together? :o))  Come on, get Happy!

It's a large quilt (I couldn't lay it fully out on the floor) and it's in great shape....no wear, tears or frays and it's clean and smells as fresh as it looks! :o))  And the price? ...It was $69.  Not cheap but totally worth it! What can I say...I HAD TO RESCUE IT!

I think it's a PERFECT Spring quilt!

And speaking of Spring...
After shopping, we had lunch at Murchie's in downtown Victoria...LOOK at the daffodils growing on the roof top awning and there were large pots of daffodils outside the entrance! It was magical! The trees are all in blossom and I'm happy to say that the sun was shining!   Spring has definitely hit our capital city!
And of course lunch at Murchie's wouldn't be complete without indulging in a wee bite of dessert!  It's a Murchie's tradition...

Yup...There is nothing better than a mother/daughter day... throw a (happy) quilt into the mix...followed by lunch and creme brulee...add a little sunshine... Well..it just doesn't get any better than that!  We had a PERFECT day!

Thanks for popping by...I hope you have perfect FUN Friday...and Happy Quilting!~P

  1. Wonderful quilt find and I think Happy would be the perfect name for it. Mother and daughter days are THE best aren't they. Our daffs aren't up yet here in eastern Ontario... But the snow has mostly melted so I hope to check out the gardens soon. Loved the picture of the flowers on the awning .:)

  6. Actually, I think you got a screaming deal on that quilt. I was expecting the price to be much higher! I love the wide, yellow zigzag binding. Happy, indeed. I could hear Pharrell Williams singing "Because I'm happy" all the time I was reading this post. : )

  9. Wow! I would say that is a superb find for $69! You usually see these in random scrappy colors. I have never seen one dedicated to the one color (green) with yellow centers. Superbly done! I see quite a few feedsack prints. I only know because I have such a massive collection! Just beautiful Thanks for sharing.
