I finished this quilt earlier this month but thought I would wait awhile to show you... I thought that you would probably be sick of seeing it...It's been a long process...building ten 4 1/2"houses each month...then trees, hand appliqueing the stars, machine quilting it and then the big stitch quilting...throwing in the stitched words at the last moment...Yes, you were there throughout the 'process'....so this is it! The finale...the last act...no sequel to follow...I promise!
So the binding is on, no label YET but one will go on! This quilt took too long to make not to get a label! :o))
Here are some close-up shots...
I am thrilled with the big stitch quilting and the words of 'things' found in my home...
Seriously, I loved every aspect of making this quilt...from those adorable wee houses to the swirling stars!
So there you have it...
Home Sweet Home is home sweet home!
Have a super Saturday and Happy Stitching!~P

ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, my thought was that's just an awful lot of itty bitty little house blocks, and I wasn't sure where in the world you were going with it! Then it became a richly colored neighborhood with sweet little trees. Finally, a rich sky was added, full of stars and heartfelt sentiment and then, I fell in love. How could we ever tire of seeing this labor of love?
