Well that stack is now a flimsy! A VERY pretty flimsy!
At first I thought this pile of nine patches would make a great baby quilt....but it ended up bigger and square...the perfect size for a tablecloth!
In fact, I think this will look great on my kitchen table for 'everyday' use!
Now to quilt it and bind it and use it! Music to my ears! Why is it always more fun to play with someone else's UFO rather than my own? Something to ponder this beautiful Monday morning...
Have a marvelous Monday and Happy Stitching!~P
Such a beautiful outcome of those 'found' blocks! I love it.

A great "lil extra" added to this quilt's story! Fun tablecloth. Did you use flannel in place of batting for a thinner cloth?
ReplyDeleteWow----it's great. Love the green background. You will enjoy using this on your table.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely finish to a big $2 surprise! This will be lovely on the table.
ReplyDeleteA great finish and a perfect tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteIt will make a beautiful tablecloth Paulette - not bad for two bucks...
ReplyDeleteLove the green. It sets those nine patches off. Your question sounds like the perfect research project into a quilter's behavior Hahaha. I'm guilty too.
ReplyDeletecertainly a great find Erin made it is looking good, wondering re the tablecloth do you use wadding/batting or just a back it?
ReplyDeleteIt really is rather fun to play with someone else's blocks. I think because we don't have anything seriously invested in it. Makes the outcome very open ended and less stressful if it's not quite 'perfect'.:)
ReplyDeleteLove the green. I have got to get over my fear of using solids!

That is just gorgeous, Paulette! I love the green background, and those nine patches were a great find, they really sparkle.
ReplyDeleteI think it helps to look at a project with fresh eyes. The trick is to be able to do that with our own projects too!
The green fabric is so eye-catching. Your daughter is becoming quite the quilter!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous and stunning, the green color choice was very successful!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Love it. I've been searching for table cloth ideas.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. You definitely want to enjoy that one every single day!
