Move it Over Monday....

Remember that stack of nine patches that my daughter, Erin, found at a Garage Sale for $2?

Well that stack is now a flimsy!  A VERY pretty flimsy!

At first I thought this pile of nine patches would make a great baby quilt....but it ended up bigger and square...the perfect size for a tablecloth!

In fact, I think this will look great on my kitchen table for 'everyday' use!
Now to quilt it and bind it and use it!  Music to my ears!  Why is it always more fun to play with someone else's UFO rather than my own?  Something to ponder this beautiful Monday morning...

Have a marvelous Monday and Happy Stitching!~P

  2. A great "lil extra" added to this quilt's story! Fun tablecloth. Did you use flannel in place of batting for a thinner cloth?

  7. Love the green. It sets those nine patches off. Your question sounds like the perfect research project into a quilter's behavior Hahaha. I'm guilty too.

  9. It really is rather fun to play with someone else's blocks. I think because we don't have anything seriously invested in it. Makes the outcome very open ended and less stressful if it's not quite 'perfect'.:)

  11. That is just gorgeous, Paulette! I love the green background, and those nine patches were a great find, they really sparkle.

I think it helps to look at a project with fresh eyes. The trick is to be able to do that with our own projects too!
