It’s the first day of school for students here in Canada…which means my friend Claire is one VERY happy teacher! Make that a very happy EX-teacher…because today is her FIRST DAY too…of RETIREMENT!! To help celebrate the day,Claire asked me if she could borrow my blog for a Retirement GIVE AWAY! I just KNEW you wouldn’t mind!! :o)
So here’s Claire..the party animal…
It's the first day of school here and we are celebrating my retirement with a giveaway!
As the air gets cooler and the season starts to change, the fall colours and crisp air just scream WOOL! It's the perfect time of year to start a wool project and who better to turn to than my favourite wool designer, Stacy of Buttermilk Basin! She has designed over 60 new patterns to tempt you! Stacy is such a talented artist and I’m so happy that she has translated her designs into wool. Designs such as this…
So, get the kids off to school, grab a steaming cup of coffee or apple cider and head on over to Buttermilk Basin to check out all of the new patterns. While you're there, check out the old ones, too, because there are some beauties! You'll find patterns for little monthly mats and stitcheries, seasonal runners, pincushions, rugs...the list is endless.
You'll probably have a hard time choosing a favourite, but when you do come back and leave a comment telling me which pattern is your favourite and I will enter your name for a chance to win MY latest favourite pattern-the WINTER Wool Runner.
You will have lots of time to stitch this before the season changes again. Here’s my version of this pattern…it’s fast, easy and adorable. Oh, and there just might be a little bit of wooly goodness put inside the parcel to help you along with your project. I will pick a winner for this great pattern on Thursday.
Until then, happy first day of school!
Claire
So there you go!! Good luck everyone in Claire’s Good-Bye Tension, Hello Pension Give Away!! Love this little wool Winter banner!! I wouldn’t mind winning it myself!
