Reading blogs this morning I was happy to see that Santa (aka Carolyn from Accuquilt GO! Fabric Cutter) has been a VERY busy girl!! Numerous quilters are receiving GO! Fabric Cutting machines shortly…AND you know what that means…the more quilters who receive THAT email from Carolyn, the more chances YOU have of winning one yourself!! SEW exciting!!
This is just a quickie today…my daughter, Maggie is here for the weekend..it’s her birthday on the 11th so we have been busy having fun…she will be turning 28!! (NOW how did that happen??) We went shopping yesterday…thought we would spend her birthday money and ended up buying FOUR tops for ME!! Happy Birthday, Maggie- I look great!! ;o)
After dinner we had birthday cake…note I forgot to buy birthday candles…and you DO need that ONE wish a year! We improvised and it worked- Maggie got to make a BIG wish!! (Rylie was impressed!!)
On the Quilting front~ I am part of a Wool Pin-Cushion Round Robin hosted by Kaaren (Painted Quilt) so I thought I had better get cracking on that…So far I have my (rough) 8 inch circle pinned together ready to whip stitch into place. After I am finished stitching it I will trim it into a better circle shape… ;o) I have also been madly trying to finish off Quilt Sue’s Penny Rug…I have given myself till Tuesday to get ‘er done and in the mail…it’s going to be tight!! I won’t be able to show you pictures until after Sue receives it…but I think she’s going to like it…Maggie gave it rave reviews but then she IS family…sew…I have my fingers crossed!!
Have a super Sunday and Happy Quilting!!~P
I used to do reviews for mac games, I think they should send me one, haha. Just finished the last thing for the new pieces, so now I will start on finishing up my pile of small quilts and then back to the larger ones.

You are so lucky to be getting a Go! cutter!! I'm jealous. I'm definitely going to be entering your giveaway. Your wool crazy pincushion is coming along well. Can't wait to see how it turns out in the end. Hugs Ariane

Happy Birthday, Maggie!
ReplyDeleteHey great use of the CANDLE!!! LOL
I can't wait to see your pincushion - going to be sweet - I just know it.
Happy Birthday to Maggie - um, or you, lol - I always forget the candles, we usually end up using tea lights!
ReplyDeleteHappyiest of Birthdays to your Maggie. When I seen that candle I laughed as it is typically something the Bekolay clan would do(paternal side). Can't wait for your draw for Go. Since I've never won a draw I think it would be a great way for my luck to change. Enjoy the birthday cake!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Maggie! The candle made my day! You may have started a new family tradition!
ReplyDeleteYour pincushion looks very interesting. Can't wait to see it done.
Can't wait for your give away. I am like Kathy, I have never won anything in my life, but I try!
Enjoy your new tops. After all you gave birth to your beautiful daughter,so, why not get a gift for you too. My husband always sent my mom flowers on my birthday to thank her for me!

Happy birthday to Maggie. Yes, those years do fly past.
ReplyDeleteI just found the Painted Quilt and am so excited about the Raggedy and Friends BOM.
Happy birthday to your DD! Love the candle! LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Maggie. I think she's fibbing about her age though - you aren't old enough to have a daughter that age.
ReplyDeleteI just can't wait to see my Penny Rug, and to see and play with your quilt top too.
