I'm Back...

I'm back, safe and sound from my trip to Calgary!  What a trip it was!  My quilting daughter and I hit every Quilt Shop, Thrift Shop, IKEA store and even took in a Quilters' Garage Sale that knocked my socks off!! (more on that later...:o)
I had lots of quality time with the grand-dogs, Lola and Scout...miss them already!  They are such sweet doodles!
I also ate some incredible food!  Who knew that an off-spring of mine, would be a terrific cook?  Erin certainly doesn't take after me in the cooking department...thank goodness!!
SEW...a good time was had by all...or at least by ME! haha  Thank you, Erin, Greg and doodles for giving up a wonderful sunny long weekend in Calgary!

And the icing on the cake...when I got home look at what was waiting for me in the mailbox!  Be still my heart!  Anita, a SWEET blogging friend, sent me this Cheri Saffiote/Payne book...an oldie but a goodie!  She knows that I love me a Cheri pattern and gifted me this book!  How sweet is SHE!

Just look inside...is this not the BEST book!!
I'm going to give you one more peek...incredible..eh?!  Thanks YOU, Anita!  You are WAY too good to me!

And I won a pattern over at Julie K's Quilts Blog...LOVE this pattern...and what's not to love...it's a Civil War quilt...can you see the churn dash in the middle of each block?  Too cute!  Thank YOU so much, Julie!!

Thanks again ladies for making my homecoming even SWEETER!

Geeze louise, I go away for four days and weeds are up to my knees, the fridge is bare, the laundry is piled high... and there are no dog cookies for Rylie!! More importantly, Buttermilk Basin has released the next TWO blocks to the Let It Snow BOM and they are DANG CUTE!!  HURRY over and get your copy NOW!! :o)))
Yup...I have got to go away more often! :o))

Have a magical Monday and Happy Stitching!~P

  7. Glad you're back safe and sound, and congratulations on your pattern win and Cheri book. I love that book, have had it for quite some time and made the cat pillow in your second photo. Sounds like you had a lovely visit with your daughter, and I'm guessing, a birthday celebration as well.
