So much matching...so fiddly....so time sucking...I was pinning and repining trying to get the stars perfect...when I had an "aha" moment. Will the little guy who this is going to, REALLY notice that the stars aren't perfect? Nope...he is going to be looking for the ducky or the pigs or the Superman....not checking to see if the the stars are perfect!
SEW to heck with the matching...I'm going to get 'er done! Come hell or high water this one is going to get done once and for all!
My goal for this week...to finish this top by WEDNESDAY! There I have said it...out LOUD! Don't you hate when one project can prevent you from 'moving on' to something new...or even...prevent you from revisiting something old, like a UFO...Gawd forbid...did I just say THAT? :o))
Have a Sunny Sunday and Happy
Glad you got that off your chest! (grin) It's good for your mental health and now you can proceed. AND you are going to have a "finish" to show for it. Congratulations! Not only have you helped yourself, you've helped ALL of us. Thank you. (grin again)
ReplyDeleteGood for you P, a finish! That little guy is going to love it! And we will love the pics! I'd better get into my sewing room! Thanks for inspiring me!
ReplyDeleteKnow how you feel I have a sewing project and it should really be easy and I am avoiding it. The project is "heart pillows" it is just not coming out correctly. It will get done.
ReplyDeleteI made an I Spy quilt a few years ago and my grandkids love looking at it so much! You're right - they'll never notice if the seams don't match perfectly!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Same kind of decision I made for the bed quilt I am making for us, quit worrying about making it "perfect". Gett'er done! The little guy that receives this quilt will LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYou're right. I spy fun, not a seam that doesn't match up. Hope you get' er done!
ReplyDeleteLike anyone will notice, lol. I can't match up my squares, never mind points;)
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Totally agree! The little one will only be spying the fun stuff, not the seams! Enjoy and good luck getting er done!
ReplyDeleteGood analogy! The lucky little recipient will love it!
ReplyDeleteGood attitude! Now what can I tell myself to get motivated on the beast of a T-shirt quilt on my design wall?
ReplyDeletewhat fun he will have looking at this quilt, it is harder to work on something that you are not enjoying, fingers crossed it is all done by wednesday and you can move on to another project
