Update...

Yippeee!  The hand appliqued orange peels are done! I was amazed when I stopped to count blocks!  I needed a square topper...not too big, not too small...just right!  Twenty Five blocks seem to be the  magical number!  Just shows you that, here a stitch, there a stitch, things DO get done!
This has been my handwork project to work on while at Heritage for over a year.(or more).  I kept it in my 'Heritage Bag', ready to grab and go!  I have to say that it was nice not having to think about what to take to work on....
Now to complete this quilt top!  I have to come up with an idea on how to set these blocks..sashing? cornerstones?...and what about the borders? Time to pull a few books and magazines and get some ideas...(Don't you love the process of it all!!!)

So today is Heritage day....what am I going to take to work on?  I am really going to have to scramble...:o))  I'm thinking that I need another long term hand project...Do I dare dig around in that UFO cupboard... I do have those Clam Shells and they are clamoring to be set free...but there is also that embroidered Basket Quilt and the JAM Crazy Quilt...and they are all shouting "PICK ME"!!  My goodness but that is one noisy cupboard!  :o))

Eeny-meeny-miny-moe...stay tuned...

Have a magical Monday and Happy Stitching!~P

  6. I love this topper just the way it is. Or would you consider putting a small cream scalloped border on it? Any way you do it, it's going to be fabulous.
