Five Bags Full...

It was that time of month again...when The Bags meet...and man, were the bags Full...all Five Bags! Hence our Woolie Group's  name..."The Five Bags Full"!

For our 'adventure' this month, we were off to Nanaimo to the 'Snip and Stitch Quilt Shop' as we heard that all of their Flannels were 25% off...and they didn't disappoint!  Bonnie Sullivan's Flannel collections was stroked, caressed and appreciated by all...Then it was off to 'Serge and Sew', followed by the Ladysmith's Bakery for lunch...their cinnamon buns...well let's just say, these Bags were FULL when we were finished! haha

Our Show and Tell happened at the 'Main Street Yarn Shop' right next to the Bakery...where they have a comfy little meeting area (complete with couches and over stuffed chairs) and a sales lady who wanted to see what Wool Applique was all about!

Julie made this adorable bunny  pillow...a Kathy Cardiff and Taylor Olvera (The Cottage at Cardiff Farms) design made from their book,  "More Cottage Keepsakes"...and this REALLY is a keepsake pillow.  CUTE!!
Julie also made the first block to Buttermilk Basin's Free Monthly BOM!  All The Bags are stitching these blocks...how can we NOT as they are dang cute!  We are all waiting for the next block., which will be released in FOUR more sleeps!
See, I'm not the only Bag on a Pillow kick!  Here is Julie's version of Maggie Bonanomi's wee Pillow!  Love the way it's framed in green wool!  SEW pretty!
And I love this Basket FULL of Spring flowers!  Yup, Julie outdid herself with her gorgeous creations!
Here is Glynis' spring garden runner...absolutely beautiful...and screaming SPRING!!
I didn't catch the name of the project or the designer...?  Glynis, can you please leave a comment at the bottom with that info, as I'm sure the readers are going to want to know!!
And here is a picture of the whole sheebang...nice...eh?
Thanks to Cheri's new Facebook Page we are all on a Cheri Payne high!  Glynis whipped this beauty up just this week!  Is this not the cutest!
Seriously...if you 'do' FB, you NEED to join Cheri's FB page as there is so much eye candy and inspiration...not to mention all of the FREE PATTERNS (look under the FILE tab at the top of the page under the header picture)!  Such an incredibly generous quilt/wool designer!  You can find the link to her FB page HERE! (I hope this link works...I have never provided a link to FB before...;)

Now Sandy was no slouch this month either...she has FINISHED all nine blocks to the Farmhouse Thread BOM blocks and will be sharing those when her top is all together. It's going to be DDG! And I have already shared Claire's little 'Snowman Quilt' (a Cheri Payne Design) HERE!  I have to say, seeing a picture of it and then seeing it in person...there is no comparison.  REAL life is so much better!

My sharing...well, you've seen it all...But you haven't seen the LOOT...and really it IS all about the LOOT...haha..

I am all set to make 'My Christmas Best'...an oldie but goody design, by none other than, Cheri Payne!  (Thanks again, Anita for the lovely book!)

So that's how we spent our Wednesday...There is nothing like spending time, projects, ideas, inspirations and of course, food, with a wonderful group of BAGS!  Love this group of ladies!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Stitching!~P

  4. "Sewing Mends the Soul" looks like an easy Cheri piece to make and well done by Glynnis. Oh my, so much to see in your post. Those Bags certainly have been busy on good projects.

  7. Thanks fro the Link to her FB page. It works for those who don't do FB too. They can get just a peek. Tempting me with your Woolies, but I am still resisting. Glad you have your BAGS to hang with.
