The AMAZING Amy from ‘Amy’s Creative Side’ is at it again! She is hosting the annual Bloggers’ Quilt Festival 2014!!
This is a venue for bloggers to strut their stuff…well…maybe not ALL their stuff..but at least two quilts.
Amy has been holding this Blogger’s Quilt Festival twice a year for as long as I can remember (several years:)! The quilts are not judged…just appreciated! If you see a quilt that inspires you, excites you, then VOTE for it!
My entry for the Spring 2014 is my Homespun Houses Quilt! It all started when Anne from ‘Cotton ‘n Wool’ put out the call to all bloggers who would like to make Homespun Houses as a Blogger’s BOM! This quilt had been on my TO DO LIST for a long time…SEW of course I jumped on the bandwagon! And I am sew happy that I did…because that quilt is now proudly hanging in my dinning room…and I LOVE IT!!
Yup, I love everything about this quilt…
I love the way each house is different and unique…
I love the vine of stars and berries…
…and the big stitch quilting…right down to the black and beige checked binding!
I call it Homespun Houses but the name of pattern is called..Country Homecoming Quilt and you can find it in the book “Primitive Gatherings” by Terry Burkhart and Rozan Meacham. (NOT to be confused with Primitive Gathers..Lisa Bongean)
Thanks Anne for spurring us on…being our task master every month, forcing us to get ‘er done! Bloggers are the BEST!
And THANK YOU, Amy for holding yet another Bloggers’ Quilt Festival! Amy puts in a ton of time and effort creating a spectacular show! Make sure when you visit the show that you leave behind some blogging love!!
And remember if you see a quilt that excites, inspires or moves you…then VOTE for it from May 24-29, 2014! It’s the Blogger’s way! Now go and have fun…there are lots of great quilts already on display! Click HERE to visit!
Have a Sunny Saturday and Happy Stitching!~P
