Has this ever happen to you…? You start something, misplace it…find it (YEARS) later and go…WHAT THE?…Oh Yeah… I remember this!
That’s what happen to this little bin! This was going to be a baby boy quilt…sixteen blocks were made…put into the tote, with fabric and promptly forgotten!! I was working at the time and it got the best of me…. Meanwhile the baby is now about 8 or 9 years old! Yup, you guessed it…he NEVER received a quilt!
There was no pattern in the bin…so what to do with it now?
Can you tell that I had fun playing with the blocks…?
It could be a winter quilt? Maybe snowmen stitcheries between each block?
But do I really NEED a Winter Quilt….Hmmm…. I’m leaning towards a baby quilt…
Food for thought…
Meanwhile…I am still painting…the bathroom is looking great!! I painted the trim and door yesterday and the new lights went up…WOW, I can SEE!! But company is coming for the weekend so everything has been put away…! Next week I will paint the cabinets and then call it a day! It will be DONE…(have I mentioned how much I hate painting?)
Maybe by next week I will also get back into the SEWING ROOM! I can’t wait!! It’s been calling my name… “Sweet P…come and PLAY…” Can you hear it?
Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P
There you are, Miss MIA.
ReplyDeleteYou've been painting a bathroom? Me, too. Let's see some pictures.
The blue blocks are wonderful. I can see them alternated with blue work (as in red work) snowman blocks, but like you said, "Who needs another winter quilt?" Who wants to even think about winter anything?!
LOL, yes, I was cleaning out the sewing closet upstairs just the other day and I found LOTS of things I put away and then promptly forgot about!!
ReplyDeleteOH NO….painting???? Don't remind me that I need to be doing some of that too…..uh like finishing some I started LAST spring……..sigh….!
How about a baby winter quilt?
ReplyDeleteI think you deserve a "blog break" once in a while, but painting the bathroom, or anything else, doesn't sound like a break to me!!!! Going to visit the grandbaby, or on a hike, or shopping, or, or.......but NOT painting. (grin)
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a beautiful quilt, could be a nice quilt to give as a holiday gift too. I have so much I want to do but with baby and the holiday weekend, looks like lap sewing for me.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I hate painting too! Quilting is much more FUN! those Blues look good int he first pic. I'm sure the boy it was intended for would still love to have it. I'm getting special requests from my Grands this year...
ReplyDeleteI make MY quilts!
Please get back to sewing and quilting soon.. I so miss you're daily blogs. I read them each morning before work .they make me look forward to snowbirding!! Not sure if that's possible in theUK!!!
ReplyDeleteit gets us all!
ReplyDeletethere's bound to be another baby on the way soon, I think you should finish it and just sit back and smile when you hear about it, you'd be a step ahead (unless of course there are 3 or 4 more ufo's hidden away!)
